Tri-Nations

I'm not being funny, has anyone seen a game?

Fuck me Tom, I like Rugby but, this is tedium in the extreme. It's gotta be the worst tourno ever.

South Africa are obviously a good side but boring isn't in it. 60 odd points in 2 games, 2 tries! Seriously. I say again, 60 points, 2 tries!!! Anyone get it?

Aussie and NZ played y'day and it was horse shit. Again. 18-19 NZ. Mortlock tried to say it was 'a classic' but apart from the last 90 seconds where both teams tried to drop a goal it was appalling.

They need to take a look at the RU rules as the game is a terrible spectacle.

I've followed the Boks but can't be bothered to post about it as the English lads don't like our cockiness and stuff! 😉

The Boks are the best team in the World, without doubt. But, adventurous, they ain't.

RU is at a real low ebb currently.

The strenfth of the Boks in this tournament puts the Lions' performances into context.

Abd of course, the Lions scored many more tries than the Boks in that series...

It's much like the 'old Rafa' Liverpool debate - win 1-0 or win 4-3 ... I don't care how they do it to be honest, though I'd prefer it exciting, winning is what counts.

I really look forward to seeing South African rugby evolve in the next 10-15 years. There's still so few blacks who play the game - but as the it becomes more mainstream, and more Chester Williams and Habanas and Paulsies becoming icons, I think South African rugby will take itself to another level ...

SA play pure percentage rugby.

It's tedious in the extreme but incredibly effective when combined with the sort of ball carriers and strike runners they can bring into play around the 22.

Their tactics are pretty much perfect. Boring, but perfect.

I've seen every game of the Tri nations, and i'd have to agree that they have all been boring games. I guess it's to be expected though after what we were treated to during the Lions tour.

The Aussie and Kiwi teams are also quite ordinary which doesn't help.

I noticed that Deans and Henry have both been moaning about the effect that kickling is having on the "product".
