Is it just me, or has it been taken to a whole new level in recent weeks?

We've had the World taking the piss out of Gerrard's slip, nothing new there I guess. Huth being a twat about Suarez, and then there's Spurs....

Taking the piss out of our capitulation, this the team that blew £100m in the Summer on dross, the team that we fucking HUMILIATED twice and are now languishing outside the European places.

We've also had a number of players acting like bellends on Twitter (Barkley's dig after we got beat by Chelsea), and fans alike giving Johnson abuse after Palace.

Is it just social media playing it's part, or have people seriously lost the ability to be gracious and respectful in the game?

Spurs, for there pathetic "official" comment, are a disgrace.

Anyone who believes they were hacked is gullible as fuck, however, I have some common sense for sale, just PM me your bank details.

The Spurs Twitter thing surprised me... and I'm guessing someone is getting bollocked over that right now.

As for fans and what not, it's par for the course really. Utd have had a hellish season with all the Moyes stuff - no graciousness or respect granted there.

What did it say?

Football - Spurs sorry for social media breach

Tottenham have apologised and begun an investigation after their social media accounts were hacked and a video was posted poking fun at Liverpool's collapse in the Premier League title race.

6 May 2014 07:19 PA Sport

Shortly after Brendan Rodgers' side threw away a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Crystal Palace - leaving Manchester City in pole position to win the league - a post mocking them appeared on Tottenham's official Twitter feed.

It read: "Brutal but very funny. The biggest capitulation since Newcastle in the 90s." That referred to the 1995-96 Premier League season, when Newcastle let a 12-point lead slip away as they finished second to Manchester United.

The tweet was accompanied by a Vine video which segued from Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard leading an inspirational team huddle after victory over City to his slip to gift fellow title contenders Chelsea the opening goal in their recent 2-0 win at Anfield.

That was followed by footage of Dwight Gayle's equaliser for Palace, a close-up of the 3-3 scoreline from Sky's coverage and an unrelated clip of Palace boss Tony Pulis laughing in a BBC interview.

Spurs removed the offending post and subsequently tweeted: "We are currently looking into a security issue where our official Vine account has been compromised.

"We apologise to anyone offended by a recent tweet, which was immediately deleted. This post was not tweeted by anyone affiliated to THFC."

I didn't even know what was going on. I just look at Mostar's twitter now and then for new clips, and saw his response. Didn't even know he was firing back at the official Spurs twitter account even. Then saw mark's post, went back to check again, and realized what happened and what's happened since.

Bleah, just don't pay attention to what rival fans / players say and save yourself some unnecessary umbrage.

It's a combination of us doing fantastically this season and playing the right way, and the other teams, United, Spurs, Arsenal, being absolutely lack lustre, despite huge promise/investment at the beginning of the season (the latter two anyway). It's born purely from jealousy.

Funnily enough, I haven't noticed many City fans giving it large, strange correlation there.

Plus, two things:

1 - Do you really give a fuck? I mean, come on - if we're gona get riled up by what fucking Spurs say on Twitter, then we're getting a touch precious.

And...

2 - We are just as guilty. How many David Moyes memes have we fucked out there?

They're still nervous. One was on the radio yesterday saying "Hey, this is Citeh - we're quite capable of mucking things up too."

This is almost as spot on as your post the other day weather you inferred Lucas is shite.

People are being twats because we've done exactly the same.

In the post match thread when you said we had nobody to fill in for Henderson.

We had Lucas.

People have always been twats, it's just that the internet gives all the plebs a platform.

Haha, as Ryan and Ross have said we are only being knocked as we have upset the apple cart.
We can't be hypocrites, as has been said we are indeed no angels. Imagine if Rio slipped or Rooney was in floods we would be the worlds worst.
Johnson is another matter he's a soft melt for getting involved

Regards
