5 minute VAR check Just to get it wrong.

Virgil headed it onto Ekitikes arm.

When your lucks out. Its out.
They've lost 2 players and the subs opportunities. If we can at least hold on till later in the game, advantage swings to us

Why does Isak still look so unfit? WTF is up with him. It's like he's carrying 2 invisible wardrobes on his back when he runs. Not sharp at all.

I KNOW he's not shite. But he looks it. No sharpness, at all.

Well that was... ok.

Still too easy to play through, too much time on the ball for them in midfield.

Bradley for gomez or ibou.
Wirtz for macca.

Need to see what Wirtz, tekkers and isak can do....

Im so sick of watching him meander around the pitch. Is he actually unfit though? He never seems to have any exertion even from the first whistle. Its like hes gotten his big transfer on massive wages and cant be arsed now.

I hope im wrong and it is a fitness issue because on his day hes unplayable, but I dont see any of the application that made him so dangerous looking at Newcastle.

He’s not an action Jackson type of player, he likes to come alive in the final third, with this set up his role demands much more than that - it’s just not his style.

The first 30 mins was a better environment for him, but we didn’t get him a chance in and around the box to come alive.

I think this diamond suits us well. Would be curious to see if it can work with Wirtz at the 10 but we are defending well with the 4 midfielders. Still not expecting us to win

He was terrorising us in the final 3rd (last season), but I'm not seeing any cleverness, technique or sharpness to his movement.

I got to think this is a fitness thing because he looks a yard behind everyone on the pitch.

Pissed off with this ref. 2 fouls on Isak not given and then Jones' 'arm across the chest' given as across the face. Useless.
The ref has given 7 reds in his last 9 CL games. When I heard that, I knew he would be shite, blowing up for every/anything. Hugo's yellow was ridiculous. An example of a referee who doesn't understand the game, only the rules.

We seemed to be well in control up until the goal and then Inter grew in confidence.

We are so poor in transition / on the break. Ekitike has done well on occasion but no one really to pass to. Isak not good enough.

Such a change from the hey day of Klopp.

I dont see isak as lazy, he's putting in a shift, and he's often on or around the edge of our box helping out, but he doesn't look as rapid as I'd hoped on the break or when chasing after a through ball.
