Me - NHL Hockey (Sega Megadrive)

I'm pretty sure my NHL 95 skills are superior.

Haha megalol at Oncy.

The correct answer for wrestling is Shawn Michaels. Hands fucking down.

I wonder where Manny Pacquiao would rank in boxing?

A fine, fine fighter, but it's still a little hard to think of him as the greatest, as some commentators claim, even though he has punched well and truly above his own weight.

If he knocks out Floyd Mayweather next year, you'd have to rank him up there alongside Henry Armstrong. It's not just that he's won titles from Flyweight up to Junior Middleweight, it's the calibre of fighters he's beaten along the way.

If Mayweather were to get back to his absolute best I think he'd win, though not necessarily inside the distance. How likely that is, though, is another matter entirely. The way he's led the Pacquiao camp a merry dance over drug-testing and the like suggests to me that he doesn't think he can get back to his best, and if he didn't Manny could well take him down IMO.

They're going in different directions too, Manny has been stepping up the weights and fighting bigger guys (some say Margarito was about 165lbs ?) while Mayweather's last opponent was a 100lb woman, and he didn't even manage to knock her out.

For what he did with the crowd, I thought Stone Cold was phenomenal ...

But Oncey's list is rather accurate I think - though I never really liked Eddie Guerrero.

Rey Mesterio was great.
[/quote]Stone Cold, Mankind, Kane etc are a direct decendant of your Tugboat, Ultimate warrior, Hulk Hogan etc Franchise superstars who may not have all the in ring savvy but ship t-shirts. American wrestling has always been more about commercialism than craft and thats why there have always been John Cena's and there always will be, and thats fine but if you go out to mexico or Japan the pro wrestling circuit is a million miles ahead when it comes to actual capabilities. They are still showmen out there but the mastery of the gymnastic and athletic arts are there for all to see. It was in fact the introduction of 4 wrestlers who learned their craft in the far east and Mexico (Benoit, Saturn, Guerrero and Dean Malenko) who finally showed Vince that franchise superstars neednt be huge lumbering giants. The night Guerrero and Benoit won the wwe and world heavyweight titles was the wwe's best ever moment and paved the way for many stars to follow like Mysterio, Kennedy, Punk etc
There will always be a Stone cold but thankfully true wrestlers are now given a chance to showcase their talents and long may it continue.

Can't believe this turned out to be about wrestling. Hulk Hogan will probably always be considered the best due to the fact that wrestling became mainstream on the back of his success, but he came in at the right time. His whole cheesy good guy overcomes adversity with the same three moves every night wouldn't have worked in the mid to late 90 or in this century. For overall ability in the ring and ability to be loved as a babyface and hated as a heel, Eddie Geurrero is one of the best of all time. The same goes for The Rock. I only watch occasionally not but I absolutely love CM Punk. He has the crowd hating him before he even says a word and has some great moves.

Austin was good, but was very limited in the ring, due to neck and knee injuries. The crowd absolutely loved him though. If it was greatest tag team of all time, the Dudley Boyz would win hands down.

Honourable mentions, Shaun Michaels as Sweet Chin Music is the greatest move ever.

And Ric Flair. Too many things to mention, so I'll stick with the way he managed to do ab somersault every time he got throw into the turnbuckle.

Legion of Doom.
The Rockers.

Even the Bushwahackers were better than those two.

I think I've got a fairly cast-iron one here:

Haile Gebrselassie

I think that might be the only truly undebateable one.

What a joke.

Shawn Michael wasn't even the best member of the Rockers ffs.
