Whilst the anger and dissapointment are still there the overwhelming feeling I have is pride. I thought the players were magnificent today - we outplayed United completely with a very young side The play was intelligent sensible and the movement off the ball great, obviously we need to be more incisive when we get around the box but we are very much a work in progress. We look as if we have some gems coming through and I feel more positive about the future than for ages Also proud of the club and the fans for today, which showed how classless a club utd are.

Yeah, said this with about half an hour to go in the match thread. I'm proud of the players who Shelvey apart who was fucking stupid, were generally terrific today. I'm also proud of BR for not attempting to play anti-football with ten men. It is testament to his philosophy that we had more possession than them in the second half with only ten men, and continued to create more chances. I was expecting to experience a wretched backs-to-the-wall second period, but it mainly wasn't like that at all.
As a team we played great but we still have a few nagging problems, mainly the lack of a goalscorer and suarez not really passing much but it was promising stuff, think brenden did great with his tactics, throwing on suso at half time when we where 10 men against united took some hefty bollocks
What's with sending a note out to his players though? Properly hilarious.
2 points from 5 is never a good stat, whichever way it is dressed up as.

I am still feeling positive Sean though I am more than a tad concerned that if we don't start picking up points quickly then these performances could be the highlight of a disastrous season where we are scrapping for every point.
Lets give it another four or five games before we hit the panic button.

I know but I can normally see beyond just the points and loads seem to think we're improving loads I just don't see it. Great to see some of the kids come through but, other than that and lots of possession I'm not feeling anything revolutionary just yet and our lack of firepower is making me extremely nervous
That's exactly how I felt last year. I couldn't see us progressing with Kenny.at all. No matter how much he spent. You want to be positive, you can see good things happening... But you can't shake it. Something niggling. Something stuck in your craw
The firepower is massive issue which I can understand but it was the same last year.
Rodgers may have been bent over in the summer, but even he knows striker is a priority in jan. We just need someone with good movement and finishing ability. Not a world beater, just someone consistent

Why January ? We've known this for two years. It was our biggest problem last year and we've made it worse by removing players who can actually score goals and not replacing them. It's fucked up.
Its just a matter of time before we slaughter somone - maybe Norwich? lets hope so but it seems the players are buying into the BR way of playing
We actually created more than we usually do against them. I do think we've had dreadful luck in front of goal at times, as well as downright bad decision making by our forwards.
Too true but some day its going to change - I just feel its going to happen soon

We know it's shite. Rodgers knows it's shite as he wanted another goal scorer but was knocked back. I've no doubt our first signing on Jan will be some average striker.
