West Ham on Saturday

I like the way we can say agger played in x amount of games, and they had clean sheets, so it must have been him responsible.
He could have had a howler in all those games, but the decent players kept a clean sheet in spite of him. Just because he was involved means nothing.

Does green bibs in those pictures above those players are playing against west ham? 😱

I'd imagine Sakho will be back in, especially after the soft goal last night, it's pretty much given Rodgers the nod to make the change. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hendo make way aswell, if only to see how the Allen/Lucas/Gerrard triangle operates in comparison. It's all a bit late in the day though ahead of big games for us to be trying to haphazard our way to a settled lineup. Flanno will keep his place because there's pretty much no one else, same with Johnson who was good last night because that's the sort of game he thrives in.

---------------Mignolet----------------
Johnson-Skrtel---Sakho--Flanno
-----------------Lucas----------------
------------Gerrard-Allen------------
---Sterling---Suarez---Coutinho

I'd like Ibe instead of sterling and i think hendo will definitely play considering how rough west ham will be. I can see allen getting bullied if he starts.

One thing that's clear is how good playing next to Carra made them both look.

I think I had a quick look at the difference between games with them and without last week.

And we were usually better when only one of them played.

Neither Agger nor Skrtel ever fill me with confidence. They may well have spells of good form, but I always feel there's a mistake in them, and neither are particularly good in the air. I think both need a commanding, aerially strong centre back next to them. I'd bring Sakho into the side at the expense of Agger.

Some tricky games for our rivals this weekend.

Massive 3 points for us if others drop this weekend.

Well, if West Ham are struggling to score they're coming up against the right team to remedy that.

I don't know that I care too much who plays. I just want to see us start the game positively, looking to attack from the off and not let West Ham get into any rhythm of pressing us deep in our own half.

Good god what will Suarez do to us on Saturday.

Them Suarez goals. Bloody hell. Not looking foward to saturday.

He was absolute **** against Hull. Gave the ball away every time he had it.
He always scores against Norwich. Counts for nothing come Saturday. Yesterdays goals don't today's games.

Suarez finished very well, but my god Norwich were awful - they stood off him so much and gave him so much space without attempting a tackle.

Meh.
He has got his once a season phenomenal performance out of the way - just before he faces the mighty West Ham.
Phew.
He's nothing to worry about, the nibbling giblet.
I'm more worried about that **** Gerrard. I really ****ing hate him.

Allen, Agger and Coutinho are expected to keep their place in the starting eleven. Same team as against Norwich then?

We know the name, son.

"once a season phenomenal performance" ?!?!?
Ha ha - I laughed lots at that too. It's amazing how he can split opinion into those who know a thing or two about football and those that haven't a fucking clue.

Btw, Setanta Sports 1 are showing this match!
ROI only I think

And my house 🙂

It's also on a couple of European satellite channels.

The other 3pm kick offs are all on different & relatively small European satellite channels too, so looks like the PL have relaxed the rules a bit for some broadcasters, trying to spread it out amongst providers so anyone package doesn't get you all the games.

Not a problem for anyone who uses Cs as you get practically anything within each of your dish. Good news for me & Markeh on here anyway!

I think it's essential we play two CB's with balance. One left footed & one right.

A basic idea, but one that seems beyond Rodgers for some reason.

A few years back we went to Rhodes in August. I met a load of Chelsea fans & we inevitably started talking about footy, had a few good arguments, but they wouldn't argue about stevie.

Everyone of them said they couldn't believe lampard was preferred to Gerrard as Gerrard was a far more complete player & had the ability to single handedly win matches, there even said we're he playing where lampard did for Chelsea he'd score as many goals, something I've often said.

They did actually know their footy though. I had fun winding them up about Garcia's CL goal that evening...
