Sorry lads, will look again. I thought it was long before Lucas came in. Yellow boots was my marker...I thought it was long before Lucas came in

Well that was a blast, apart from the obligatory Skrtel own goal to sully the quest for a clean sheet. Even when allegedly not well, we still manage to score 4. Sterling, Allen and Coutinho raised their game today-- there was a passage of play before Skrtel's brain-fart when we played some thoroughly decent stuff and could, with more composure from Sterling scored three [wonderful] goals. Nolan was sailing close to the wind and eventually tipped over. That was a dirty, dirty foul.

Still worried about how we deal with long balls and crosses. But that's being churlish. Enjoying today with Assaidi doing the dirty on the chavs.

Why are we still conceding goals so stupidly against the run of play?

And more importantly, why do we fall to pieces so easily just after we've conceded a silly goal against the run of play?

Thankfully, today it didn't last long and we bounced back from it. An important 3 points which takes us back to second place. Other results went nicely for us too. A draw at the Emirates would be the icing on the cake tomorrow.

From the 45th min and to the 65th is probably the best I've seen us play. It was insane. Skrtels own goal and Gerrards injury got us out of balance but we showed character to get 2 more. I dont want Flanno in there. He gets beat to easily and doesnt offer anything to the team. Him up against Lennon/Walker would be suicide next weekend.

Any word on Gerrard then? Hopefully its just tight and a strain, then he could be back in a week. He walked off alright which is positive.

Flanno gets beat on his inside far too easily at left back. I still reckon Brad Smith would be a better young cover option.

Frankly Flanagan should be at RB and the experienced England international can play LB. At least then when he drifts in aimlessly from the flanks he'll be on his stronger foot and a young inexperienced player won't have to deal with being played out of position.

He shouldnt play at all. He's not good enough, right or left.
That's pretty harsh. I have been surprised by how good he has been.

EDIT : I assume you mean Flanno and not Johnson?! If it's the latter you might well have a point.

I agree. Flanagan has given much better than I thought he had in him to give. I think we're too quick to write youngsters off (the Chavs were willing to send Sturridge away). Wenger, to his credit, stuck by Ramsey despite a large and vocal majority of Arsenal fans slagging him up the hill and down the dale.

Just watched the game. Fantastic result (including Stoke and Newcastle). Happy, happy, happy - back in 2nd place.

Just seen the highlights on motd and you could say our man Suarez could Easley of got another hatrick.. Maybe the spurs shite can be our next victim for him..
