He was spot on. That post written before Benteke signed is more accurate than most written on this site after watching him play for four months in a red shirt.
I stand by the view that our attack is a mess even without Benteke but that doesn't negate the issue that he's not suited to us at all. His West Ham performance was in the wake of a firm talk from Klopp telling him he needed to be more involved and his abject performance suggests to me that he will never become a top player who is likely to succeed at a big club. Rodgers signed him to keep hold of his job for another year. There was never any strong belief that a side previously used to the buzzing, hounding movement of Suarez and Sterling can adjust to someone of Benteke's style.
The worst thing is we've seen it all before.

Exactly - there is so much shite written on here someone has to be right once in a while.
I remember the site went through a terrible phase of dredging up historic posts to prove other posters wrong - and that has a very negative effect.

Yay. Back to this argument about men on the post again.
It's as tiresome as zonal marking. Just cos it's easier to see when it fails, doesn't mean it's necessarily at fault more often.

I'd like to know why we bring all our players back if we left two in the centre circle I would expect at least three defenders to stay back - in which case we have three or four less people in the box - less crowded - easier for the keeper - and we have outlets on the break
Yes it's baffling why we encourage a crowded penalty area and of course there's no immediate outlet if we win possession. I guess there is a reason, anyone?
Added to which they are obviously useless at defending anything anyway
