Craig Bellamy is on course for a sensational return to Liverpool.

The Manchester City striker has left the Wales training camp to have a medical at Melwood.

Kenny Dalglish, having offloaded Joe Cole and Andy van der Meyde on deadline day, now has the funds to bring Bellamy in on a free transfer.

The City striker, who was pushed out by Roberto Mancini, is expected to agree a two-year deal at Anfield.

Bellamy, who earned £90,000 per week at the Etihad Stadium, has finalised his pay-off from City.

The Welshman spent last season on loan at Championship side Cardiff but he still has much to offer the Barclays Premier League.

QPR and Stoke were also keen to lure him but Liverpool appear to have won the race for the self-confessed Reds fan.

He was the player Gollum meant to buy when he ended up with Per Koldrup ;D
I don't think so.

Van Der Meyde probably played more games at anfield than Poulson and Degen put together 8)
Van der Meyde at least made a better impression at the club than those two.

TBH I cant even remember him playing for us....
What?

I'll try work this head fuck of a thread out....

Everton released Van Der Meyde in the past then realised they had fuck all players in their squad and re signed him. I think the original poster was making reference to that due to the fact that we re signed Bellamy. Which is weird because we've re signed player's in the past; Staunton, Rush, Fowler and even Aurelio after his contract had originally ended.

He also got sent off for a tackle of Alonso and once claimed his drinks were spiked in town. Bit of a head case. He had one game us when he just couldn't cross the ball for love nor money and to think he was once a full international and Inter Milan player.

No he wasn't the player Moyes was supposed to buy instead of Koldrup. That was a different story. Moyes wanted the CB from Udinese, sent his scouts over and they came back with Koldrup and not his defensive partner. Koldrup looked like he couldn't head the ball and was shipped out after a game or two, or so the story goes.

I presume Jon Fox is taking the piss with his "TBH I cant even remember him playing for us...." and themn is right, close this mother.

I was kidding too;I dont really think he was the CB Gollum wanted.

I accept some culpability for this thread with apologies

Actually, it's really not this complicated. In the link and article I posted, there was a typo saying we've released him, when clearly they meant N'gog.

Or Poulsen, the online article has now been corrected to say Christian Poulsen. Good old mail.
