After binning Arry and bringing Villas we probably all expected a bunch of players to come in.

They have just sold Saha, sold Pav and not signed Adabeyor.

Defoe wants out so who the fuck is scoring their goals.

Surely Levy the prick is not going to just blow all the Modric money at 11:55pm on the deadline day again ruining the first few weeks fo the season.

Sacking Redknapp could be the worst decsion ever for them

Sacking Harry was the right decision - just happened too late. They could have still finished 3rd had they got him out of there - he'd obviously not been 'in that job' once he was going after the England job.

They still have a very capable team. They are in desperate need of a forward. They should splash the cash on Llorente or Damiano - anyone really.

You can say a lot of things about old Arry, but none of the clubs he ever went to recovered after he left. So I guess this was one rival less for us.

Aaaaand, Mystic, in 3.....2......

...1....They've done nothing and it's fucking beautiful isn't it?!

On a serious note, Glyfi will be a good signing for them and they'll probably splash some cash onces Modric goes, it's nice to see them being knocked back on a couple of targets though!

Verthongen and Gylfi are two good signings.
Losing Adebayor, King and Modric will prove to much for them.

They've been linked with Llorente for the last 5 years though...

Bidded €30m for Soldado but had the bid rejected.

"I knew about the interest from Tottenham," Soldado said. "My agents told me about it. The offer was presented, but turned down. When I signed my new contract earlier this summer I already knew very clearly, as I said then, that my intention was to see it out.

"My connection with Valencia is total. I want to play here and achieve many things with this team."

After scoring 17 goals in 32 La Liga games last season Soldado, who was surprisingly left out of Spain's Euro 2012 squad, talked in public about a potential move to Qatari-backed Paris St Germain, but in June he signed a bumper new contract to remain at the Mestalla until 2017.

Valencia open their Primera Division campaign with a difficult trip to defending champions Real Madrid on Sunday. Soldado, a graduate of Madrid's youth system, said he was confident he had overcome recent fitness worries and was ready to start.

"I have been working at 100% for the last two days," he said. "If nothing happens between now and Sunday, I will be fit for the game."

Soldado predicted this season's new-look Valencia, under new coach Mauricio Pellegrino and with exciting summer signings including Fernando Gago and Andres Guardado, could cause Madrid problems.

"We trust that we are ready even though we know our opponent will be very strong, even stronger than last year," he said. "But we are capable of taking them on."

but you assume Boas has been told by Levy that top 4 is a priority, give some strikers then man FFS

Maybe they will come in for big andy again, although he was a Harry type

I reckon they'll get Adebayor signed up soon. It's an argument over wages, everyone will give a little bit of ground eventually

Tom Huddlestone could be facing an uncertain future at Tottenham after a thinly disguised verbal swipe at manager Andre Villas-Boas on Saturday.

The 25-year-old midfielder used Twitter to express his disappointment at being left out of the Spurs line-up at Newcastle, answering a question about whether he was injured by tweeting: 'Naw, I'm fit mate.'

He then added: 'Good luck to the lads today up at Newcastle, devo not to be involved but will be watching later on.'

An even more pointed comment - 'Respect needs earning before being given#Fact' - before it was deleted.

Villas-Boas dismissed suggestions of a rift.

Villas Boas issue (again?) or just Huddlestone over-reacting?

I'm not sure but I think he'll be half arsed under Villas Boas.

He might see him as an easy touch like the ego's at Chelsea did.
I'm more concerned that the Modric deal is taking so long tbh.
