I think Dani Alves changed things again. Sevilla practically gave him a free role with the midfield covering the space he left behind. For me, Maicon was pretty fortunate to have been the preferred choice for years.
 
Who needs brilliant fullbacks, Milan had Maldini & Cafu in 2005, we had Traore & Finnan, with Josemi on the bench 🙂
 
That's why we were nowhere near challenging for the league title that year. Great spine, shit wings.
