My money would be on Spurs, simply because they have the best manager of the lot. West Ham will find it harder once other teams will start taking them seriously. United will have a disaster of a season with fans come May blaming the Glazers for missing out on Conte.

Because.....they're United?

What about the few seasons over the last 5 years where they ended up finishing outside 4th, did you think they'd stroll in then too?

"Think"...... "Dreamie".... "same sentence"...

Interesting.....

I’m looking at their squad. They have the third best squad and potentially could have a top coach soon.
It’s not rocket science.

West Ham are a better team and have showed it all season and large parts of last season.

All well and good stacking up the talent but if they don't want to give their all, you're as good as nothing.

If Utd go for an interim manager for the rest of the season there is no certainty that they will finish in the top 4.
West Ham could have a decent chance, and Arsenal as well. Spurs arent good enough.

I'd go West Ham. It would be funny if the Moyesiah could finish above Utd.

I'll go with Tottenham.

Over the next 7 league games (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/fixtures/fdr), Tottenham have the easiest run. There will also probably spend more than the other 3 sides in Jan, if reports about the transfer kitty promise to Conte are true. If Tottenham perform to their ability, they'll catch up/open up the gap between themselves and the other contenders as they take points off each other.
  • Arsenal face Man Utd and West Ham
  • Man Utd face Chelsea and Arsenal
  • Tottenham face Liverpool
  • West Ham face Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal

Players each club has used (https://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/eingesetztespieler/wettbewerb/GB1) indirectly/partially shows the strength in squad depth of the sides too. West Ham are clearly at a disadvantage compared to the other sides.
  • Arsenal 26
  • Man Utd 23
  • Tottenham 22
  • West Ham 19

No they aren’t, not even close. Don’t be silly.

Seems not very likely at the moment, but perhaps I could reformulate the question more precisely as "who will finishing in the top 4 besides us, City and Chelsea."

Well let's not be too complacent. Yes there is a clear divide in terms of class between the top three and the rest, but in terms of actual points, not so much, well not yet anyway.

Fwiw, I think Utd will bounce back and snatch 4th. Would love for West Ham to take it though.

We're not even ⅓ of the way into the season yet so I'd be surprised if there *was* a large points gap. But I reckon the Top 3 will be at the very least 10-15 points clear of 4th come the end of the season. I don't believe West Ham will stay in the Top 4 and we are already 9 pts ahead of United.

Spurs would be my pick for 4th at this moment because of Conte, Kane & Son.

They were dreadful first half against Leeds but I suppose its a matter of time before they figure it out.

Man Utd though.. I think the VDB - Ronaldo - Sancho partnership has potential and will quickly establish chemistry once (if) a competent manager is appointed

Still figuring it out.

We finished 3rd last season without any CBs ffs what idiots think we’ll be worst off this??

How can anyone look at Utd Arsenal Spurs or Leicester and think they’ll finish above us? Come on guys.

Sorry you are right, think we may finish 3rd but we have a bunch of shit fixtures towards the end of the season. Also I dont fully trust us, we seem to be leaking too many goals this season.

Probably a ploy to make sure Levy opens his checkbook in January, but reading this did make me chuckle. Not often you see the manager basically admit his team is more shit than he realized.
