Torres beaming he was fouled there.
Didn't need to make a stook of himself by missing.

Jordi Alba is hilarious when he runs flat out, his legs are a blur. Like speedy Gonzalez the cartoon mouse.

Cahills goal showed what would happen to Medel at center back in England, just thinking about it i can't think of any PL center back past or present as short as him, a lot of teams would barrage him with high balls and crosses with big players around him in England, it would be footballing suicide.

You know you are fucked when you are relying on Torres to come and rescue the day, hes another who should never wear the shirt again.

End of an era in Int'l footy.

I think a large part of the blame has to fall onto Del Bosque - but considering his last 6 years, it's cool

Very, hes looked like a lost/broken soul ever since he put on that skidmark blue shirt, tbf he wasn't the exactly the happiest soul in his last year with us.
I was at his last game for the red men Spaggy - He was a fucking shower. I've never seen a player lose it in such a way...

it cheers me up to see one striker who looked incapable of scoring being replaced with another striker incapable of scoring and then realizing that they will both be at chelsea next season
Ha ha! Ain't that the fucking truth!

Cm/DM, Whatevs, he played in midfield.

Not a mental decision by Cardiff to play him there
He was rubbish every time I saw him play CM for Cardiff but he's had 2 excellent games at CB for Chile. Maybe he just needs to play for a better team than Cardiff.

So strange about Torres don't you think? He looks nothing like the player he was.

is it mainly physical (loss of pace etc ) or confidence ? Well probably a bit or both but for a few seasons now he's just looked broken . He'll probably be remembered by many for those 2 or 3 season of high quality but for a big chunk of his career now he's been nothing short of ordinary. It's strange how far he's fallen . Even rafa didn't rate him during his period at chelsea .

I think he has lost 2 yards and his brain still hasn't realised or altered his game to suit it, then probably confidence too on top

Credit to Australia, a huge effort.

Just a little bit of class and composure let them down in the end.

Cahill's goal won't be beaten for goal of the tournament either. A simply stunning strike.
