I dont think anyone is saying we do. I dont understand that perspective at all.

Maybe its a fashionable thing.

By the way, am not saying we are going down. I just think we can't be so arrogant.

We need to chalk up our first win of the season, break that mental barrier down, and then move on. Not so easy, but on account of our performances you'd think it was a case of sooner rather than later.

The best part of this season is that we've set up a fantastic cycle of rewarding our fringe players with game time, this can only help in pushing them in their development. I'm confident for the future. The way we've gone about our business with our youth set up, it reminds me of Germany.

Egg on the face of FSG when they finally get round to expanding Anfield and it's empty on match day because the fair weather supporters don't want to bother watching a bottom of the table team.

Tell me, how many of the fans do you think are fair weather? Do you think those who go to games from our forum would still go?

Why are people assuming we'll start winning games soon ?

Because, unlike our previous five games, our next five doesn't have the top three teams from last season. Our next three are Norwich, Stoke and Reading. There's a good chance of 9 points, a brilliant chance of 7.

We couldn't beat West Brom or Sunderland.

Ah well, that's us fucked then. Unless, of course, you consider the red card and two pens against West Brom, which was Rodgers first game. That'd leave you with an away draw against Sunderland, who scored with their only shot.

Hardly something to base a prediction on.

Oh well that makes it OK then seeing as we've obviously learnt not to concede penalties and red cards now.

I dont think Rael is any more of a wind up than other people on here - I just dont think people like reading what he has to say

I remember the good old days when teams needed to do more than simply get near our box to be guaranteed a goal.

I'm interested to see how he responds to the fair weather fans question ... then we'll know if you're right, or the others.

We do have some fair weather fans though Wizzy. I remember numerous occasions under Hodgson when I couldn't give away tickets for some games.

We are having what Americans call a 'Bridge season'.
Sadly this does not translate to football over here. We call it a 'shit season where we fall ever further behind'.

I think he has a fair point if he's saying that having a bottom half of the league team is not conducive to filling a 60k seater stadium.

Remember the Christmas games under Hodgson? I normally get asked for tons of tickets for those games as the scouse diaspora return to see relatives etc. 35,000 in on one of them, I seem to recall.

Our core support isn't very big at all. Rael is right, gates are predicated on results.

That's true for all teams though. Success breeds support, because people don't want to support to help achieve success

I'm not saying it isn't the same for other teams, but I could get loads of spares for yesterday's game - which isn't usual against Manure. Full corporate which the club were selling at over 300 quid were being offered at 100 on Saturday afternoon. That's got to worry the lizards.
