Youth setup in trouble?

Malcolm Elias having moved to Fulham is trying to poach all of our good youngsters. I am guessing he was successful with Butchmann.
Based on the performances of our reserve squad and U 18 , I think the last thing we should be worried about is our youth set up. It is not like we are loosing the next Rooney or Owen. We do seem to have a couple of decent youngsters who have the potential to make the step up or make us a few million at the very least.

They can be a bit of drama queens over at TLW. Wait for another poster known as Tom R and Code72 to use this incident to show that Rafa is the spawn of Satan.

Trust me, you dont want either of them in SCM. I stopped going to that place thanks to idiots like those. I dont agree with the views of most Anti-Rafa posters on this site. However, baring a few posts here and there, I am able to understand why they feel that way and I respect their opinions.

To Refugee: Yup Butchman is definitely worth a lot more than 100K. However, I am guessing Malcolm Elias knows the ins and outs of these players contracts and is using them to his advantage.

Loosing a young promising talent like him is definitely not good. But I would not make the extrapolation from this incident to "Youth Setup is in Trouble".

I simply don't believe a talent like that would go for 100k. FFS Plessis would go for loads more than that and i haven't seen any of the talent he's meant to have

Total garbage Buchtmann is one of the three best talents we have in the ressies (DLV and Pacheco) and wouldn't be sold at any price currently - his value is only going to go up so why would you?

NB. I consider Kelly and Nemeth to be > Ressies before anyone comments

Dave usher has good ties with many people within the youth setup, this story does have legs. If he's said it then it almost certainly happening.

If he's gone it would be for more than that. If it went to a tribunal we would get more than 100k..... We've probably sold him for atleast 105-107k.
 
If this is true then it's yet another bad news day for Liverpool. The lad looks head and shoulders above his peers.

Buchtmann was probably the stand out performer in both legs of last years Youth Cup.
His departure does seem to indicate that all may not be perfect with the youth set up but surely he is worth more than £100k
