I suppose with Real Madrid its less about your tactical acumen and intellect (not suggesting he lacks this), but more about aura, presence and commanding respect with the players.

That is never enough, though definitely with a squad of galacticos as a manager you need that presence, whether from a stellar managerial or player career.

Zidane has done a great job handling those massive egos and keeping them playing.

Casemiro has been good for them - lucky fucker (should have seen red in 3 straight games) but he's a tough as nails kid in the middle that offers the bombing FBs protection, not to mention alleviating some of the workload on Kroos & Modric in the middle.
