All over the media this morning..

Set to reject bumper contract in favour of Arsenal

Obv Agent Talk... Holding out for more and trying to force our hand

This would be a travesty. We need to keep hold of a key group of young players and build around them. Sterling, Coutinho, Henderson, Can, Sakho. Losing players from this group will be shite and unless is followed by a true world class replacement then not worth it.

If he gets his head turned by that shower then good riddance. I only want players interested in winning things with us. Since Torres left I've not given a single fuck about any player leaving. Stay or go. Not arsed.

Doesn't he still have 2 or 3 years left on his contract?

If so, don't we decide where he actually goes?

I think experience shows that, irrespective of the details of the contract, when a player is determined to go, he goes.

Perhaps he wants to go back to London and all this back and forth between the club and the agent is just stalling tactics to get the other clubs interested.

He's quite tight with Ibe and Sturridge, isn't he?

There is no smoke without fire ...

Really? Its started by the Fail and the other media outlets are running with the same BS.
We wont sell him to Arsenal. Its a nothing story imho started by the biggest Arsenal fan out there, John Cross.

Turned down 180k? Hahahahahaha, yeah right. As if we'd offer him that.

If this is reported by Joyce, Barrett, Pearce then its a different matter.

If the lad wanted to stay he'd of signed a new contract like many do during the season, in my eyes he's going so let's think about his replacement. *shruggs shoulders*

All over the media? Do you mean John Cross has written about it in the mirror and lots of other media outlets have said John Cross has written about it in the mirror?

Again, I wish we had some sort of filter whereby only stuff from reputable sources got discussed.

Yeah this crap is really starting to annoy me, If the rumours are true then he can get fucked. Some people just don't know how lucky they are!

All over the media... As in started by John "I love Arsenal over everything" Cross and the others run with the same story.

Sterlings agents will do just about everything to get the money raise. It was the same when he signed a new deal in 2012. He was about to leave for Spurs back then if I remember correctly.

Agents are cunts.. thats all that needs to be said really...

I'm not disputing that he wants to leave. It's just his destination. We can turn down Arsenal's offer. Just like we did with Suarez.

Champions League football.. London club..

Probably never go to Chelsea.. he will never get a game..
It's at best a little step up, he's got much more to gain from playing another season here, excelling himself, and earning a bigger move. Anyway, if he's going to be a little cunt about it, just hardball the situation and not sell him for under £40million.

Are we using John Cross article as some sort of confirmation that Sterling wants to go there?

Even if he did, I dont think for a second we'd even consider letting him join them.

Newspaper prints something Hansern likes - must be true.

Newspaper prints something Hansern doesn't like - total bullshit

How many times is this cycle going to be repeated?

let's be honest the story isn't all that far fetched even if it is made up

Hansern is always pretty cynical about reports of any ilk, something you kept missing during the twitter wars.

You're right though, it isn't far fetched, he's a London boy afterall, and he already has one of those Arsenal haircuts.

Arsenal? A step up? Er. No.

Arsenal? A step up? Er. No.

It is if they qualify for the champions league.. and given they do it on a year by year basis..

They are also able to attract bigger name players than us at the moment..

Currently.. I would say it is a step up..
