I think Frankie will be a very good, perhaps even great, striker, but firstly I'm not sure whether that'll be with us (the current Klopp setup isn't exactly tailor made for a striker), & secondly I'm not sure how long it'll take him to get there.

I'd like to see him loaned out next season & get serious game time under his belt.

He came here specifically because he didn't want to be sucked into that black hole at Chelski where young players are simply passed from one club to another until both parties lose patience, and because he didn't want any more loan-outs himself, wanted to go somewhere he could put down roots, and was convinced he'd be brought on carefully by the coaches and given chances in the first team. So while I see the logic in your suggestion, I think it's unlikely, given his own outlook. I agree though about the need for actual game time - at the very least he needs to play for the reserves whenever possible and accumulate some goals. Ings has shown him there's no shame in that.

He won't get games ahead of Yesil, surely?

I think our cup draws have helped him either. Leicester punished us for poor finishing in the league cup and had we gone through he’d have got more games. Had we got Plymouth in the FA cup no doubt he’d have started there. He needs games and I fully agree he should be getting reserve games to get as sharp as possible for when he is called upon.

Whilst we all know Solanke wouldn't have got game time at the horrible machine that is Chelsea, will he get sufficient to progress with us? I doubt it to be honest.
We're committed to a program of identifying these lads before they cost a billion dollars but, in picking them up early, we're not allowing them to get to that stage anyway.

I honestly don't see where all this optimism regarding Solanke comes from. Granted I've only seen him when he's played for us, but when he has, he's looked bad. Like dreadful. I'm hoping to be wrong on this in the long run, but I just don't see it. Time will tell, I guess.

As for Sturridge, lash him on the scrap heap. I don't really care what we do with him at this point.

Solanke looked great in pre-season but I just haven't seen anything in his league and cup appearances that demonstrates he's ready for this level. He needs some game time and he needs a goal to get his confidence going. I have a lot of hope for him but 5 to 10 mins at the end of games isn't helping him that much. And Ings needs to get some more game time too - I'd rather see him be the first option off the bench as his style is most similar to Firmino.

We're in fine shape so long as Firmino and Salah stay healthy but if either one goes down we are fucked.

According to Joyce, Newcastle are hopeful of getting him on loan for the rest of the season.
1,5 mill loan fee and they pay his 120k wages per week in full

Bit of a kick in the balls after thinking of Seville and Milan
