I always feel that people who call it a shit sport don't actually know anything about it. It's a bit like cricket. I can't stand cricket but do understand it is an incredibly nuanced sport that gets more complex the more you get into it. That's my experience of baseball. I absolutely love it. Never gonna convince people who don't like it, the same way no rugby union fan could ever get me to give a flying fuck about that. To each their own.
 
Carroll was supposedly fucked.
So was Gerrard.
I have no doubt that Sturridge will be back, problem is, in what capacity?
Owen lost some of his pace. I'm afraid that Sturridge might suffer the same fate.

There's some evidence that the Carroll rumours were true.

I don't know to what extent the injury is, nor do I know if it's going to be a permanent problem. I do know that the club were playing down the injury, though, and it was/is worse than they initially let on.

I can't believe they gave him a lucrative new contract without a hint of trying to flog him, knowing he was fucked.
 
Arjen Robben and Robin Van Persie seemed to be in dire straights with their injuries at one point as well and were able to bounce back. Hopefully Sturridge can do the same.

Hopefully he'll be back soon. Read today that he's expected back around the 15th of January.
We need to buy a quality striker though.
 
Yeah he's vital to the way we play, and I honestly believe(hope) that he and Mario will work well together.

I don't think we'll sign anyone in January, sadly.

I think we will, I reckon FSG sees the payment for a striker a small price to pay if helps us reach top four. The loss of CL money next year would hurt so much more than buying a forward in January.

If we manage to offload Borini for a decent fee we might sign a striker or maybe an attacker with a goalthreat.

When our interest was originally reported the coverage suggested he was keen on the move, plus I don't know how long he has left on his current contract. Maybe he's pulling strings behind the scenes to make this happen. I just hope we don't dick him and them around by trying to low-ball yet another deal.

Add a fit Sturridge to this team and we'll start to terrify opponents again. His movement, intelligence and all round play pulls everyone's game up – Henderson, Sterling, Gerrard. And the new guys will look better immediately they can play with him. He stretches teams, he links up play, he scores goals, he puts the willies up even the best defenders and he loves to play. Can't wait to have him back.

Kopblocks is all the lost souls banished from RAWK. They did have an ITK sticky but it seems to have gone now. He was shit and blatantly just guessing. Someone on here used to work with him and he had no sources then. His twitter is a mixture of ITK and advertising wallpapers for mobiles.
