Will we really buy a striker? (In January)

So how long is Balotelli out for now (having been sent home with hamstring injury from the Italy squad)?

Well, he's higher than what we've currently got so it's a start. The problem is that he's not going to help our movement that much nor improve the energy levels significantly.

As Modo says, aim higher - but he would improve us.

If you were the owner of the club would you trust BR with another load of cash so soon after spending what he did over the summer? I was underwhelmed by pretty much every signing and it's sad that my usual 'glass half empty' attitude has been shown to be correct thus far. Long way to go this season obviously, but I just do not see BR and his team turning this around in time. Man Utd are weak, Arsenal are weak and we should be consolidating our top four position. Instead we're a horror show.

I'd take Reus in a heartbeat and as quickly as anybody on here. Have thought he was a star for years. That said, I reckon the transfer fees will be similar between Reus and Shaqiri while the end product will not be that different. Reus is certainly the better player but I reckon the Bayern man suits our style even better. He's such a busy, hard running player with genuine quality and goals.

Competition to sign him won't be close to the international circus that Reus' s signature will be either.

Reus.

@cloggypop

What do you think of Arek Milik mate. Scoring for club and country for fun at the moment.
I assume Ajax will make his move permanent when they can on the back of the season he has had so far.

Sorry... This name "Arek Milik" cannot be pronounced in a scouse accent without ripping your throat out from the inside.

If he signs, it'll be a catastrophe!!!!

Thierry Henry has just said he's leaving ny Red bull ...

Let's snap him up on a one year deal..

Well Danny Ings has 6 months left on his contract and can sign a pre-contract with a new club in January. If Burnley are looking doomed by January we should offer them £4m-£5m for him and they might have to accept as he'll be leaving for free in the summer.
