Never mind.

It was more to do with the fact that back then the Welshman and Scot were two of the best players to ever play for the club, whereas now they're just decent Premiership players.

got it! we don't have a scot in attack. not much we can do about that until the jan transfer window and even then I cant think of anyone.

I think we have the whitest team in he prem -correct me if i'm wrong? I know we glen-jo, but other than that not much else.
You asked a fair quesiton IMO - despite the flak your getting off the rest. I did think that at one point and then I remembered we had GlenJo. I think your right about our team being probably the whitest in the PL, but it don't bother me other than at times I think certain teams with more black players seem to look stronger and more pacey.
Why does it matter what colour our team is? As long as we base the selection of players to buy on their ability and not their race then I don't care.

I don't care if a team with more black players looks stronger and pacier, does it mean they win more? That's the only stat that really counts. Most of Utd's team is / has been white for many years and they've won the lot for 20 years odd - with pace and strength.

There's not enough gingers in the squad either.

I reckon most premiership winning squads have had gingers who made regular appearances.

Excellent post. Total colour-blindness should always be the practice in such matters IMHO.

At the moment the only ginger premiership winners I can think of are Paul Scholes and Colin Hendry....

Colin Hendry wasn't ginger was he ?

Wasn't Duffer a regular starter when they first won it under Mourinho?

Maybe there's even a touch of african sunset or autumnal gold in there too.

Duff ain't a true ginga either. Only footy players I can immediately think of are Scholes, Riise, Wes Brown, Ray Parlour, Hartson and , for us, David Fairclough

Impressive bit of quiffing there, Ruairi. ;)

I had originally typed Charlie Dimmock and lost some time in my reply....

A smidgen of duracell bronze

That Bolton keeper that let in 5 on Sunday against the Chavs was a ginger

Are we just naming random gingers now? In that case Steve Lomas and Dave Kitson.
liverpool had it's most successful period with an all white team, a welsh man upfront and a scot in midfield. kenny has returned us to that, so sit back and let the good times roll.
Indeed that is absolutely true - and there were many teams with black players then. That is exactly the reason I am not bothered by the lack of non-white coloured in our team, because it makes no difference. Even so - we should look at Spains recent word cup triumph - from memory they did not have a single black player in their team.
