Definitely Gomez. Has played the position far more, is pacy and would make us defensively stronger than anyone else, even Trent. Of course we lose Trent's attacking impetus but that's a fair trade-off as that position is by far City's best attacking option. It effectively closes down that weakness even at the expense of weakening our attack.

Gomez. It's not his best position, but his most recent outing there was by some way the best I've seen from him at RB. Millie just doesn't have the legs any more and IMO none of the others are realistic options against that lot.

Definitely too slow. He'd get ripped to pieces by whoever City play there (Sterling/Grealish/Foden).

I like Tsimikas and would have no concerns about him at LB if Robbo were unavailable, but I'm never a fan of tinkering with players' positions anyway and would especially not do it against Citeh.

Definitely Gomez and perhaps a more creative attacker in midfield i.e. NOT Hendo. There are positives to having another CB on the pitch given City's attackers, although it is obviously not ideal at all.

Gomez might enjoy facing up against Sterling again.

Actually on 2nd thought, if Trent can make the City game in time, then Gomez should be a good enough stop gap. Milner's legs cant do the job no more at RB. Foden will eat him alive again.

I'm not a Gomez fan but he's definitely my second choice over milner, just for pace. The problem is if we play Gomez against Watford to get him ready he'll probably strangle his balls, break his asparagus, and get one of them parasites that eats your eyeball

Probably the only position where there is a massive gap in quality between starter and subs..
