what a waste of an amazing talent. At 32 he should still be Englands number 1 striker. Rafa fecked up royally there letting him go

yeah badly. we only went and won the champions league. it's fair to say that we deffo wouldn't have if owen had stayed.

Yeah, there was always that fear.

The fact that Owen acclaimed Rafa's appointment and said he'd always wanted to know what was like to play in a team that played like Valencia should have settled a few nerves.

Rafa didn't want though so that was that.


PS. Just for Skully - Morientes was a great replacement. :rolleyes:
 
because Senor Bulldog, we've seen many a striker do well into their mid 30s if they look after themselves as much as mr Mein Fein Owen does
 
I thought Owen was dead.

Ferguson looked like he would have been more likely to dig up a corpse and play him upfront than Owen.

Mind you the corpse would probably be fitter than Owen.

America will be his next stop.
