Liverpool, Wataru upto?

He looks good in the clips from today's game, but I will be honest with you - I did not want Ambrabat when we were linked with him ( mainly coz of his injury record and that he would be away during Afcon), but after watching him play for United last night and hearing the guy speak post-match - he talks like a guy who would fit into a Klopp team, and seems to have a very focussed mindset. I would worry facing them with a guy like that in the team.

Amrabat just looks like a United player - a cross between Andrew Tate and a more muscular Ten Hag. He wouldn’t fit here; our thing is porn mustaches and shit haircuts.

He looked great overall. He's talented grafter like Jordan Henderson. If hEndo can make it, Endo can - just needs to adjust up a gear for the PL.

Think it might be too soon for Spurs. It's a big game for us. We gotta bed him in with the easier opponents first.and set him up for success.

Would anyone else start him at Spurs and free Mac in a more suited position?

Nope - Mac A, Curtis & Slobbers is our best midfield at the moment - I’d stick with them.

It’d be like dropping Nunez for Gakpo, which I wouldn’t do either.

I would actually start Gakpo vs Spurs. He scored 2 in his last 2 starts, starts to look better after an indifferent start of the season and I also have a feeling that he will become a Spurs and Arsenal killer just like Bobby was. Having Nunez on the bench if you need a goal late on is a frightening option to have.

Agree on the midfield though. Villa was supposed to test our midfield and never really did; we still don’t know whether we truly need a DM or not. The next 2 games will probably answer this question.

Thought Endo was excellent last night. More aggressive and put his foot down. Found a rhythm and set the tempo.
Easily his best performance.

It's a conundrum, lucky Klopp. Pick 3 from Endo, Jones, Mac and Szobo? If we are expecting to have less possession then maybe Endo with Mac & Szobo is the way to go but Jones has done nothing that deserves dropping for, in fact the opposite (and I think he was brought off to save his legs for the weekend).

I feel Klopp will stick with Jones, Mac and Szobo although maybe I'd start Endo and bring Jones on later. Either way works for me, lets see if it works during the game.

Endo looked freaher tonight. I enjoy the soedd of his short passing game. It was one touch followed it a quick, sharp pass. The attackers will benefit from that urgency. Good performance and I'm glad he didn't get subbed.

That's my though thoughts exactly - we just don't know do we ? - I am a bit nervous at facing Spurs and it comes down to the form of Bissouma who seems to be the engine and driver of their current run of form. I think if we can stop him from playing the way he has been and linking up with Madisson - we can win this game with a bit of ease.

Probably a factor to why he looked a bit more on it last night:

Wataru Endo after last night's win: "It was a big day today as my four kids started at their new school" “I haven’t heard yet how they found it but I’m looking forward to hearing all about it. "I’m so happy that my family are here finally. We’ve moved into a new house and everything is good. I can’t wait to see them. Family is everything to me.”

Yeah, he finally got some sleep.

Always remember my exceptionally failed eye test SCM members....this Wataru fella has had victories against Germany and Spain. In one despatched Gundo, in the other he destroyed Rodri.

The thunderbolt took away part of the gloss from Endo's pass. I think this is a glimpse of his chances creating ability.

Actually for Gakpo, he scored in each of the internationals during the break too.

Possibly - Darwin’s also scored in his last 2 - either would work with the other coming on for 1/2 an hour.

If we’re approaching this, or should I say, approaching how to neuter Maddison, not by having a DM sitting on Maddison, and instead trying to cut out more of the balls into Maddison - then I could see Gakpo as a false 9 sitting deeper and sitting more on Bissouma if he’s the one getting Spurs to tick from deep.

Might even be worth sticking Nunez on the left, if Gakpo sits deep through the middle.

I could see Gakpo centre and Nunez left. We need Nunez's pace on the break to prevent Spurs pushing up a high line as far as they otherwise may do. And to fluster their defence.

Another fine performance from Endo at #6
See this is what we need in a #6, an aggressive ball winner and recovers loose balls, compare this to Mac's performance at #6 last night....very contrasting.

I'd feel much more confident going into games with Endo as the 6.

I cant tell if you are being serious ?

Persist with? Could have sworn that I have seen that we're 4th in the league after 5 away fixtures in 8 games, 1 loss when 9 men and 4 red cards in total.
Its going quite well in all honesty.

I'd rather give Endo another go in the league than persist with Mac there.

Depends what Klopp and the coaches have seen in training. They'll obv.know that Macca's better further forward so there'll be a reason why he's still been preferred to Endo at DM.

Yes, persist with.

Mac has been found lacking a fair few time this season because he's effectively playing on his own in midfield. It's no surprise we've looked better and more defensively solid when szob drops back to assist when we inevitably drop to 10 men.

It's not a ridiculous idea
