Interesting that we're still hitting the woodwork more than anybody else. Can't the coaches do something about that?

The goals the team uses in training should be a foot smaller - except for the keepers, their goals need to be a foot bigger.

I feel like that second bit would just lead to us conceding more corners because Mignolet will try and knock everything away.

Wayne Rooney said Arsenal are usually in the top two in February or March then fade away, but the past few season have shown them mostly getting stronger in the final two months of the season...

Only one side has ever won fewer points from their first 10 games of a PL season than Palace (3) have this term: Manchester City (2) in 1995/96.

In the two previous Premier League seasons that Liverpool have recorded a 6-2-2 record after 10 games, they have finished third and fourth (1994-95 and 1995-96 respectively).

Everton: The average finishing position of teams losing only one of their opening 10 Premier League games is fourth.

Only four newly promoted sides have conceded fewer goals after 10 games than Hull have this season (10) in the Premier League.

[article=http://www.itv.com/sport/football/update/2013-11-09/bayern-set-new-record/]Bayern Munich set a new record of 37 games unbeaten thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win over Augsburg on Saturday.

The win saw Bayern - who last lost a league game in October 2012 - beat Hamburg's 36-match unbeaten run which was set between January 1982 and January 1983.[/article]

Tottenham are the only Premier League team that hasn't scored from a set piece situation.

I thought Ross said we had scored 2 goals or something from Rodgers "process"?
13 goals from open play is pretty impressive, only Arsenal and City are better.

Spurs and their 100 mill of bought talent are struggeling. I hope it continues for a long time, but Lamela has got so much quality I'll be surprised if he doesnt improve.

Mignolet has saved 42/52 shots on target faced this season (81%). Last season Reina saved 32 of first 52 faced (62%).

Suárez shot conversion has improved year on year: 2010/11 7.3%, 2011/12 8.6%, 2012/13 12.3%, 2013/14 22.2% (@SuarezStats) #LFC

So basically if Spurs cross the halfway give away a free kick,

If they get close to the by line give away a corner/freekick.

[article]Arsenal have gone behind three times this season and have picked up just one point from those games.

Aston Villa and Southampton are the only two PL teams not have thrown away points from a winning position this season.

Olivier Giroud, Jay Rodriguez and Daniel Sturridge have lost the ball the most number of times (27) from a poor touch in the PL this season.

Chelsea have picked up exactly the same number of points (21) in the first 11 games of this season as in Rafa Benitez's first 11 games in charge. They have amassed just six points in six games against teams in the top half of the table.

Everton have only managed three shots on target in their last two games.

Liverpool have scored 16 of their 21 PL goals this season before the break.

Luis Suárez has scored eight PL goals from just 36 shots this season - a goal every 4.5 shots. Daniel Sturridge's record is only marginally worse with eight goals from 39 shots.

Steven Gerrard has created more chances (29) than any other PL player this season; he has recorded four assists in his last six games.

Loïc Remy has scored seven goals from just 27 shots for Newcastle - a goal every 3.375 shots.

James Ward-Prowse's average of three accurate crosses per game is the best in the PL.

Stoke City have thrown away seven points from a winning position this season; those points would put them in ninth.

West Ham have thrown away six points from winning positions this season; only Stoke have thrown away more.

Tottenham have taken 15 more shots than any other PL side this season but only Sunderland and Palace have scored fewer goals[/article]

The Spurs stat makes sense seeing as Andros Townsends shoots as soon as he can see a goal in the horizon.

Very opportunistic player and extremely wasteful and frustrating to watch as well. Whilst he looks a good prospect I don't get the Bale comparisons, he is nowhere near as intelligent on the pitch for starters.

Interesting that over the last 38 games we have the best goal difference . And we've already been in top 4 form for a while , let's see if we can keep it up.

Serie A clubs still importing even more outsiders than Prem clubs do. Interesting.
That may be misleading. They needn't be imports to not be trained by the club they are playing for.
Ex: Henderson is not an import but he isn't club trained either.

Liverpool have scored just five goals in the second half of their previous 11 PL games this season, conceding seven.

If matches ended at half time this season, Liverpool would be five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Bayern Munich's 35 points from the opening 13 games is the best record a team has ever had in Bundesliga history.

Bafétimbi Gomis has scored 92 goals in Ligue 1, highest tally amongst current players in the French top-flight.

PSG are the only team to have scored in every Ligue 1 game they have played this season.

Atletico Madrid have scored all 35 of their league goals this season from inside the area.

Only Mesut Özil (14) has made more assists than Koke in the Europe’s top five leagues in 2013.

31% - Suso has recorded a higher proportion of his team’s assists than any other player in La Liga this campaign.

The fact that that useless sack of sh!te Gomis has scored all those goals only goes to prove how poor Ligue 1 is.

True. Could also be partly due to the fact that previous hot shots did not stay in Ligue 1 for long.

Gomis 92 in 286

Niang 100 in 258
Gameiro 76 in 209
