My point is I'm not exactly sure what table is telling us, but it certainly doesn't say who has been "best".

Well it does have ratings...

You said a few weeks ago that it was Agger's absence that has lead to us letting in goals, now it's Johnson and Coutinho's absence which explains why we've dropped points, of course we could do with the three of them back, but it's all a bit selective and relative.

It IS laughable that he's second in the table, let's be honest. He hasn't been better than Sturridge, Toure, Henderson, Mignolet or even Suarez by any particular stretch. He had a great game against United before getting injured, and we need him back because we simply don't have anyone else who's anywhere near comfortable enough in that role.

2nd best player this season though? Don't make me fucking laugh, and don't get me started on Gerrard and Lucas being 4th and 5th.

I'm just trying to explain why he's second in the list. He hasn't lost a game yet. That's it.
I'm not trying to say that he's the reason, its just a pattern just like Agger being absent.

September 22 - Paolo Di Canio (Sunderland)

September 28 - Nigel Clough (Derby)

October 11 - David Weir (Sheffield United)

October 13 - Martin Allen (Gillingham)[/article]

Yeah that list is as much use in determining our best players this season as posting the squad list.

Those heights seem wrong too. Suarez doesn't seem taller than Johnson. And I wouldn't have thought Sturridge was 188cm

There are also only three points between the top six. This has happened only once before, in 2006-07.[/article]

Not sure if mentioned but no CB has got more clean sheets to his name in the Premiership during the past soon to be one and a half Season than our Daniel Agger.

17 I believe it is now.
