Manchester United will make a £40m bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, 21, as they switch their attention to the England international after Real Madrid insist they will not sell Gareth Bale, 25. (Daily Mirror)

Hope they do - hopefully a one season wonder and it'll add another £10m to Sterlings fee.

It will also stop Spurs singing that he is one of their own. The mancs will probably start singing it instead but at least that will replace a song about us.

And we're not getting Benteke. He's apparently said in an interview in Belgium that he wants to play Champions League football next season.

Phew.

Arsenal are linked to that DM (Krychowiak) - who would be an excellent pick up.

Mancs are linked to Otamendi (his release clause is ~35 million)

Not sure how James got into this team - he wasn't that good this season.

Really good player:

[article=http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/11675462/Arsenal-transfer-target-Grezegorz-Krychowiak-puts-Arsene-Wenger-on-alert-after-switching-to-British-agent.html]Arsenal target Grzegorz Krychowiak has put England’s top clubs on red alert by making the Stellar Group his new representatives.

Sevilla midfielder Krychowiak is being looked at by Arsenal, Manchester United, City and Chelsea, and has a buy-out clause of around £22 million in his current contract.

There is also foreign interest in Krychowiak from Spain, Germany and Italy, but the 25-year-old has dropped a hint that he is interested in a move to the Premier League by leaving his Polish agent Cezary Kucharski to join Stellar.

Stellar look after Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who is a team-mate of Krychowiak’s with the Poland national team. The company, rated as one of the most successful agencies in the world, also has players at United, Chelsea and City – as well as Gareth Bale at Real Madrid – among its impressive stable.

Arsenal have so far shown the most interest of England’s top four clubs in Krychowiak, having scouted him on several occasions and considered a bid for him back in January.

The north Londoners want to sign a new midfielder this summer and are looking at alternatives to Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, who they fear will join United. Ilkay Gundogan and Geoffrey Kondogbia have also been monitored.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted he is in the market for a new midfielder and, along with City, has considered a shock swoop for Alex Song because of his home-grown status. Krychowiak is a more expensive option for both clubs.

Southampton are also big admirers Krychowiak, but would face a big task to convince the player to give up Champions League football at Sevilla to drop down to the Europa League.

Krychowiak has not formally asked to leave Sevilla and is not thought to have made a definitive decision over his future, but the Spanish club realise they are powerless to stop their star man leaving if his release clause is met.[/article]

[article]Everton to sign Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu for €6m on a 3-year deal [Sport][/article]

Can't we hijack this?

Agreed but, if (as I hope) he doesn't see it like that and it's a dream he's determined to chase, he won't be coming to LFC. On top form he can be a beast, but like others I'm not convinced he'd be suited here.

Manchester United could tie up signing of Jasper Cillessen from Ajax this week [Telegraph]

This guy is the epitome of shaky to me whenever I see him play ... It would be a massive drop off from De Gea to him.

Man United begin talks with Axel Witsel about a transfer, Chelsea are interested in the Belgian too [Gazzetta]

He used to be a bit shit but he has massively improved in the last year or so. Best goalie in the Eredivisie and best Ajax player right now. Van Gaal knows him well and knows he will suit them. De Gea is better of course and Ajax seem to want over 25 million euro for him which is a lot.

He thinks he's shit at penalty shootouts though.

Teamtalk has us interested in N'zonzi, along with Arsenal and Tottenham.

Not the most credible of sources, but then I remembered that he played well for Stoke against us, so the probability of this happening just spiked significantly.

Is he any good?

Signing completed. Was joint top scorer alongside Alvaro Morata in 2010/11 for Real Madrid Castilla in Segunda Division B. Been playing in the Bundesliga for the past 3 seasons.

Stoke seems to favour signing ex Barca and Real Madrid players/youngsters.

Some Bundesliga expert seemed to think he was overpriced.
