Poor Rafa - gets his dream job and immediately walks into a shitstorm created by Perez which he'll no doubt be blamed for, despite having nothing to do with it.

Add to that - doesn't appear to be many galactios out there to buy this year.

[article]Pedro Rodriguez is considering his future at Barcelona and there are four clubs waiting in the wings - Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Inter and Liverpool.

Mundo Deportivo say that despite signing a new contract on June 4, Pedro is questioning the wisdom of remaining at Camp Nou for another season.

The Spain international wants to play regularly, something he didn’t do in 2014-15 as Luis Enrique preferred Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar as his front three.

Pedro’s deal runs until 2019 and he wants to be sure of a place in Vicente Del Bosque’s Spain team for Euro 2016.

His involvement may come under threat if he doesn’t play regularly while the likes of Paco Alcacer and Alvaro Morata are first choices at their clubs.

PSG, City, Inter and Liverpool are all aware of Pedro’s concerns and the French Press have linked PSG to a €25m offer.

The Premier League is said however to be Pedro’s preferred destination should he leave Barca and both City and Liverpool are very keen.[/article]

Sergio Ramos to Manure is picking up steam. AS is saying he's said he wants out b/c they won't pay him 10 million/year (euros).

They alllllllll do this every year when they want a new contract. It's the Madrid way. I'm not sure how he can get a strop on that he's not earning as much as James or Bale or Ronaldo - he's no where near their league as a player.

He's one of the best defenders in the world - a leader in the lockeroom, very close to Ronaldo - and has scored key goals for the time after time ... They'd be mad to let him go ... They're being linked today to Laurent K!

We are going to be linked with him every season until the day he retires.

[article=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3143354/Liverpool-talks-Barcelona-teenage-whizz-kid-Bobby-Adekanye.html]Liverpool are in talks about a move for Barcelona teenager Bobby Adekanye.

The 16-year-old has been on loan at PSV Eindhoven and was one of five transfers to Barcelona's youth system that were banned from playing for the club in a clampdown by FIFA last summer over claims they had been signed illegally.

Born in Nigeria, Adekanye moved to Holland when he was four to live in Amsterdam with his family.

He arrived in Barcelona in 2011 after spending time with Ajax.

Now 16, he would have been able to begin playing for Barcelona in January.

Adekanye played for Holland in February earlier this year at the Under 16 UEFA development tournament[/article]

[article=http://as.com/diarioas/2015/06/30/english/1435660073_401153.html]Lucas Vázquez will be the new Real Madrid coach’s first signing. His excellent season for Espanyol playing wide on the right (4 goals and 6 assists in 39 games) has seen many clubs show interest in the 23 year old. When it appeared that finally the player was to stay at the Catalan club, the arrival of Benitez and his request for a winger with pace were factors that see Lucas back to Real Madrid (he played for Real Madrid C & B teams during 2010-2014).

In his move to Espanyol, there were various sub clauses that kept the door open for a return to the Spanish capital for the player. Madrid had an option to buy him back at the end of the 2014-15 season for a fee of 1.5 million euro or 3 million euro should the move take place at the end of the 2015-16 season. The deal finally will see Madrid pay 1 million euro to Espanyol but included youth player, Burgui moving to the Power8 Stadium on loan.

Benítez insisted that the team needed a pacy winger who was able to take on defenders. Lucas will be a key player in the much cited rotation plan that the new coach intends to employ at the Bernabeu in the season ahead.[/article]

4 goals and 6 assists makes an 'excellent' season? Sounds like Real are getting their long awaited replacement for the great Antonio Nunez.

Also re: Rafa, is he bonkers? Read somewhere that he's planning to employ his beloved 4-2-3-1 at Real, with Ronaldo as the lone striker, and Bale on the left wing. Lol.

The most talented attacking crew he's ever managed, and he wants to impose a rigid structure on them. He clearly hasn't learnt since he left us.

Get that defence drilled into shape, get a couple of better full-backs and a proper DM to complement Kroos/Modric. That's all he really needs to do, but here he is busy signing someone who he will almost certainly convert into a defensive winger.

Espanyol only scored 47 goals in 38 league games so he contributed to 20% of those! :p At that fee, they'll make a tidy profit in a season or two.

Marca:
[article=http://www.marca.com/en/2015/06/30/en/football/real_madrid/1435655867.html]Real Madrid are set to pull off a pragmatic coup by re-signing Lucas Vázquez. The winger is to return to the Bernabéu after a year at Espanyol, where he made his top-flight debut this past season, and will become a fully fledged member of Rafa Benítez's first-team squad.

'Los Blancos' have decided to exercise their option to buy back their academy graduate, with a fee set at 1 million. He will become the club's third addition of the summer after Danilo and Casemiro, and at a bargain price.

Vázquez's arrival can be seen as a strategic move. On the one hand, Benítez will get his hands on a player with similar attributes to those José Mourinho saw in José Callejón, another Bernabéu youth product 'retrieved' from Espanyol. The Galician schemer offers pace, directness, the ability to beat defenders and a commendable work ethic.

At club level, meanwhile, Vázquez will enable Real Madrid to cover their backs in relation to the Champions League regulations on home-grown and association-trained players. With rumours suggesting a number of other academy graduates could leave, Vázquez will be another option to make sure the club meets the quota.[/article]
