2025/26 fixtures

I'm happy with a demanding schedule. We started so strong last season, albeit with an easier run. We should be well placed to go again after a well considered pre-season and avoiding CWC.

There's the obvious upheaval, however we'll reap the benefit of getting the needed business done early doors and getting them to work. I suspect Bournemouth have to be as active in the market as we are, if not more so. Plenty of clubs sniffing around their players beyond Kerkez.

Very tough opening 8 fixtures tbh. Actually quite a tricky run in too. Not ideal, really.

Easier in the middle then, which should help with afcon.

I imagine they'll be plenty of rescheduling going on because there aint a cat in hells chance we playing 31/38 of our games at Saturday 3pm.

Proof that I'm just an old git, part 387: My eyes STILL go looking for the scum games immediately. Then the blueshite. THEN I actually look at the list as a whole.

We should have the advantage early doors. Lots of teams will still be adapting to new managers and players in key positions.

We really couldn't have asked for a better 'AFCON fixture list'.

Lads, may be home at that time with the young fella, Anyone have any solid ticket leads, I'll Gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today

Not an issue printing a schedule. Copyright requires the creation of creative content. A schedule is just a list of known facts.

Football fixture lists are protected by database copyright but not by the EU's database right, the High Court has said. The ruling means that sporting bodies can charge users of their fixture lists license fees.

... that was 2010 (which may be what I was remembering). May no longer be the case

Hmm. Well, that is ridiculous. I may stand corrected, if it still applies.

In fairness the fixtures are so kind to us you can’t deny it’s biased to us without sounding like a dickhead.

I know you all think I always take the contrarian viewpoint but this is blatant.

I mean come on, we don’t play anyone above us in the league all the way til May next year.

That’s not why. It’s considered a super cup style match. He misses the league as his ban refers to the league.
You're the one who brought up the Charity Shield.
Also it is basically a friendly. Yellow/red cards don't carry over into any other competition.

And you're wrong about the Super cup. In Italy/Spain suspensions carry over so its seen as an official game.
Same with the UEFA super cup. Bailly was for instance suspended when his 3 match ban from the Europa league carried over.

Red card suspensions received in the Charity Shield (Community Shield) are served in the next competitive match for the player’s club, not in the Charity Shield itself. This means if a player is sent off in the Charity Shield, they will miss the following official competition game, such as a league or cup match. This rule has been in effect since August 2009
