The potential and the talent is indeed there, but if we had a good offer and we could get a good replacement in then I wouldn't be too concerned about losing him really.

He may well come good in the long term, but we need someone who can do the job straight away and for whatever reason he isn't.
 
I hope he stays and becomes an Anfield legend. I like him.

There's an incredible long way to go for him to achieve that but I'm still hoping and I'm positive the talent and attributes are there.

It is with a heavy heart that we report that the Andy Carroll picture from earlier is not from his birthday this weekend .

The man in the picture (on the left, not Andy Carroll), has been in touch with JOE to say that the snap is from December and he doesn’t know how it became a Twitter sensation overnight.

The man who tweeted out the pic last night, Jamie Heston, has yet to make a comment.

At least it’s one bit of good news for Kenny Dalglish this morning. It’s been a tough week.
 
I may be missing something, but why is it good news? Wouldn't it be better if it WAS from his birthday? He has a reason (ish) and it's after a game rather than before one?

Why is it better news that it's from December?

Carroll is that pissed he's fallen asleep in shorrocks on a couch, beer in hand, then collapses sideways in the second photo.

Summeronions (I think) was there, it was a few weeks ago.

I assumed the rumours were BS & media shitstirring but he's clearly got issues. That alone wouldn't persuade me we need rid, but the way we got him, texts to his friends at the time & poor form & fitness combined are weakening my resolve to support the lad.

When l3wis joined to say it was him in the photo he reposted the original, with him cropped out, plus another very blurry one that was still evidently the same photo with Carroll slumped over to the side.

Dunno where they've gone, assumed he pulled them to cos someone said a true red wouldn't post photos of it online shortly aftwards in that thread.
