He saved some penalties in the shoot out, that was his greatest moment in a red shirt.
The gaffs against Atletico at home were his worst. And that was awful.

Thank you, and goodbye.

Yeah, for a free transfer (and given our gk woes in recent seasons), he has done "enough" (was solid enough for our 1st 8 league matches last season too).

that said... 😳

We’d have had a kid in goal without him and might not have landed the trophies we did.

Should be fondly remembered Imo even if he isn’t good enough.

Agreed, he has turned out some very good performances, and lets not forget that last season he was called upon on the first day and and had to stand in for what ? - 6 games, don't think we lost them. Sadly he fucked up in that CL game that got us knocked out, but he has been OK, and many a goalkeeper would lose their shit if they made the mistakes he did, but he talks himself out of it and carries on like nothing happened. Given that we as LFC supporters outperform ourselves at destroying any goalkeepers confidence - the fact that this guy has stayed on and ignores our critical mouths is quite commendable.

Yeah .... like we’re all going to “fondly remember” you, when you’re finally sacrificed to appease the footballing gods and bring balance to the force.

Ha I’ll be here long after everyone else is gone, aimlessly wandering around the vault reminiscing about the good old days in your closet.

I think Adrian gets a free pass from some people because he started relatively brightly and on a high, being a big part in the Super Cup win.
However he also seems to get credit from some quarters for the start to last seasons league campaign, when we won all those games that he played in.
Yet the reality was that he was a liability in many of those games, gifting a goal to Ings meaning we had to cling on to a 2-1 lead for the last ten minuets and letting in a goal against Leicester that I reckon Allisson would have saved. That was the game that we won with the injury time penalty by Millie.
I don't doubt there were other performances in that run of games where he didn't cover himself in glory.
We didn't win those games because of him, we won them in spite of him and we could easily have dropped points in them because of him.
In my view he is every bit as bad as Karius was, but at least Karius, on a rare occasion, could actually kick the ball without appearing to have two left feet.

I can forgive the some of the mistakes, but the CL ones... I'm still in denial over it.

Karius played a whole season as our first team keeper and does not even have half as many bloopers as Adrian who only plays occasionally.

Adrian, in all honesty, has been terrible.

He isn't much better or much worse than most of our back up keepers over the years really. They are never great. They usually have a few decent games here and there but it soon becomes clear why they are back up keepers.

At least we won the title with him in the squad though. Good luck to him, but I am pretty sure we won't miss him too much

Helped us win the title. His blunders at other times are reason enough not to want to see him between the sticks for us again, but he's up there for me with Biscan, an unlikely and only occasional hero on the road to glory.

I don't hate Adrian as much as most but I don't remember him winning us any points in any league games and making any saves of note. We also coasted the league. In that 2005 run every game counted and Igor had good performances against Leverkusen, Juventus and Chelsea.

He had his moments and then had his lapses.

But in the end - got nothing against the guy.

Was a decent backup and integrated into the squad well - so that's all you can really ask for from him.

Good luck at Betis.

He did well during Allison's injury spell. Well enough. Maybe there are many other keepers who could have done as well, but he's the one who played for us.

He was 'fine' when he covered for Ali at the start of the season with a run, but he is ultimately a bit shit and probably in the bottom 5/6 back up GKs in the league. Luckily his blunders and led us to finding that Kelleher is ready for step in for short term cover and we can get this guy off our books.

I also have a theory that having such shite back up keepers has a negative effect on our attackers in training. It becomes much easier to score and they lose some of the challenge/sharpness required.
