To Slot for winning the league, not for one minute did I think you could delver it in your first season. Totally doubted you. I am sorry. You're factually the best manager in Britain

Hughes, got a lot of flack from me calling him a lazy George Clooney, more interested in the mirror than doing transfers and contracts. I am eating humble pie. You delivered with Edwards, Slot as manager and the new signings we are seeing today at rapid speed, and not forgetting the two signings we most needed in VVD and Salah (even though it took almost a year). Apologies, I am eating humble pie. If we win more trophies in your tenure, you will go down as a legend not only in my book but many Liverpool fans. Who knows may be a mural

FSG, this season you have backed the club, and credit to you.
 
Let’s get the signings done before we suck Hughes off and Slot better start next season well after the piss take of the last 4 weeks which is only acceptable if we don’t start poorly.
 
Must admit it's looking incredibly positive, but let's just wait till it's signed and sealed first before the apologies to Hughes.
 
Fuck them both, I do not want these so called emotional connections

1) Slot winning the title was easy for him coz we know from last season that our team is title winning material. Slot should apologize for lamely getting knocked out of CL and losing the Carrabaou cup final in such a clueless manner.

2) Hughes - Its been a year he did fuck all business last summer, and got conned by mountain loving Zubi. Yeah its about time after that one year induction that he does some work that we can actually see.

Honestly, you all should be thanking FSG.

The initial post is a little too emotional, thanking the manager who inherited a world class team that was obviously the best in the league, that should have been obvious to most of you once it became apparant that City just could not do it and Arteta again refused to spend money on a striker.

As for Hughes, why the fuck should I give him any credit ? For what ?

Also my bit at the end about FSG, well that was an apology, they have been brilliant owners on the face of it and while some people have in the past been putting the blame on them for not recruiting , its become obvious that was because Klopp was not willing to sell his used up/washed up hugging boys.

So Slot had it easy inheriting a world class team, but it was Klopp that kept all the ‘washed up hugging boys’ at Liverpool without recruiting. That team is what Slot won the league with, without a single new player in the first team.
Makes sense.

Hello !!! yes Slot had it easy because the team that Klopp coached last season should have won the league BUT bad finishing (and the injury Salah carried after Afcon) at the end was what cost us dearly. The strengthening of the mid table teams has also helped in keeping our rivals in check unlike previous seasons.

However, this season is like the season in which Leicester won the league where top teams were finding it hard to compete with the mid-table teams - except for us. Next season will be different - I can see the top tier clubs buying up the talent from the mid-table teams, and also the impact of next years world cup will impact how much players want to give in terms of effort.

As for the Klopp hug comment - it was not to do with last season - it was to do with prior seasons where Klopp would be reluctant to sell on midfielders that Edwards wanted to get rid of. Klopp was not a saint - great coach but the business of recruitment and player identification should have been kept with Edwards and the nerds.

No way did Slot have it easy. We finished 9 points behind City and 7 points behind Assanal. What Slot did in his first season is remarkable. I don't remember you writing we will walk the league in August.
I did not mind no signings last season all I wanted is the 3 ccontracts renewed and by Jan I just wanted Salah and VVD contracts renewed which he has. Talking about Salah, it was Salah who accredited his performance to Slott
 
Don't waste your time, mate... It's a lesson that I have recently learnt the hard way.

I truly don't believe that he (or a handful of others on this site) genuinely thinks how he claims to, here with us - I just don't understand how any reasonable person could. But therein lies the catch, perhaps..?

why do you guys get so upset ? - when I say easy - I mean the squad he inherited to be able to compete - from an outsider looking in - we were top of the league for a long time in Klopp's final season - everything fell apart after the Carabaou cup final due to injuries - like I said this team Slot inherited did it with ease in the end, so in that regard - its not been that hard has it ? Me or anyone else saying its easy does not in anyway diminish what a great achievement it is to win the league regardless of circumstances.

Get a f*cking grip - we almost won it last season had our front men could finish properly.

Slot knows that his squad was good enough to win the league from the outset - that's why they never signed anyone. Tell me something - does that not make it easier for the manager in terms of having to make decisions to bring in new players etc ?
 
For me, it's the "Fuck them both", and the "Slot should apologize" garbage... Anybody who really, truly believes that, I'll never be able to understand. But, we've already established that - No need to engage.
