Good news is that there are some twitter rumours about Fulham bidding 1.5 mill for Poulsen.

*crosses everything possible to cross*

And Kenny and John Henry were clearly still intent on selling the Italian despite showering him with compliments in recent weeks.

Some reliable chaps on twitter say loan deal with us paying 20% of the wages. For the love of God hope its a permanent deal, if not it makes absolutly no sense.

What a cunt of a deal that would be.

It makes sense in financial terms. If reports are correct and Aquilani would be taking a pay cut to join Fiorentina (which incidentally shows how keen he is to go home), we'll be paying 20% of a reduced wage as opposed to 100% of the full one.

It would make sense to keep a 27 year old Italian International who's just off the back of an injury free season(mostly) with a point to prove.

unless he wants to go
Exactly, I bet thats the only reason we're letting him go.

He's well on his way to becoming our worst signing ever... at least when we've fucked up in the transfer market before we've usually been able to get a bit of a return. Another fucking loan deal is beyond ridiculous.

i still think keane is our west buy ever. Did very little for us and got fucked off. yes we recouped most but we looked like amateurs. at least here we can say he didn't like england

well if they had said 'he's useless, always injured and we don't want him' that might have put off potential buyers slightly.

yup. Lets liken it to cars. 2 preowned cars, exactly the same. Would you want the one who was driven by a little old lady to the shops and thats all, or the one owned by a heroin addict who ragged it round a car park nightly while getting sucked off

its all about how you advertise innit

So, seems as though a loan deal with Fiorentina is on the cards.
A 20 mill £ signing going out on loan again for the second year running, madness.

Must mean there cant be any buyers out there, we want his wages of the books and he is desperate for a return to Italy.
We can only pray that Fiorentina, unlike Juve, will activate the agreed transfer fee.

Looks like we're having a shite time trying to get rid of players we don't want, so if getting rid of aqua means we can get another player in I'm all for it, shame it couldnt be someone we really don't want though

Two conflicting reports;

5 year deal with permanent transfer
Loan deal with them paying us 1 mill euros loan fee + wages[/li]
Apperantly a communications officer at Fiorentina just said they were close to getting Aqua..

It’s reported Alberto Aquilani could secure his move to Fiorentina on Tuesday, sending the Liverpool midfielder back to Serie A.

Aquilani has been in talks with the Viola for some time and is eager to stay in Italy after Juventus did not take up their option to make a loan move permanent.

According to the latest reports from the Italian media, Tuesday will see a decisive meeting between Fiorentina and Liverpool.

He is expected to arrive on loan with an option to buy for €11m at the end of the season.

The major sticking point remains the contract, as Fiorentina would need Aquilani to cut at least €1m off his salary.

The former Roma man currently earns €3m per season, which is far beyond the average salary at the Stadio Franchi.

Som italian media sources claim a deal is only hours away from being completed, others claim comolli met aquas agent today and told him we will only sell, not loan him out.

Will be interesting to see..

Another fuckin loan deal? Balls to it.
Keep him and play him or sell him, loaning him and contributing to his wages makes no sense at all.

Local newspaper in Firenze claim he's very close to signing a 5 year deal worth 2,3 mill euros pr season.

Never seen a smackhead with a car. Not one legally owned anyway.

Just sayin.

Italian TV says Aqua only wants to join Fiorentina on a permanent deal. Hopefully that will happen now.

Can anyone answer me on why he agreed to sign for Liverpool in the first place?
because rafa wanted someone who performed a similar role to alonso whilst plaiing higher up the pitch. his injury took longer to heal by which time we were in a crisis and so couldn't blood him into the team and when he was finally introduced, whilst showing great touches of skill and movement was an absolute PUSSY going in the other direction. wasn't trusted in the middle and then moved on by hodge podge.

I can 'kinda' see why he was signed and if he were stronger in the tackle would've established himself long before now.
