Are we are doing a Spurs next transfer window?

It seems Klopp is happy not to spend 'big' next summer. Instead, the club is focusing on contract renewals which are going to cost the club up to 200m over a period of years.

Jürgen Klopp says Liverpool are unlikely to ‘spend big money’ this summer

I think we still get players in - especially up front and cover for Trent and Robertson, but I think the bulk of the money will come from player sales rather than profits.

I think Klopp must be saying publicly because of confidence in some of our youth players and Edwards who has a good knack of getting bargain deals.

Also when Klop says we won't be spending big, what does 'big' mean these days? A while ago 30m was a big deal nowadays its 50m and upwards. I'm sure if Edwards spots a bargain we will have a good look down the back of the sofa for 25m or so.

He's lowering expectations. We've already spent the profits we highlighted in our accounts this year and we've also had some costly contract renewals. I think it'll be one in, one out, which is absolutely fine. If Moreno and Sturridge both get replaced by players who can genuinely compete with a first team spot then we'll have improved.

I don't see us buying another CB whilst we've got Fabinho capable of covering and Gomez to return, but let's see.

I hope not and I suspect hes lowering expectations. At the very least we need a left back and a centre forward.

He’s hardly going to tell the world he has £200 million to spend. As double winners we’re going to be loaded.

Assuming we lose no one, I'm fine with a couple of £30million signings, which is hardly big spending these days. We don't need an overhaul, just one of two players to provide cover and competition, namely left back and striker, and potentially CB too, if Lovren goes.

Surprising that the front three haven't been injured for any significant period of time, definitely need some forwards just in case our luck runs out.

Ox will hopefully be like a new player and just who knows, maybe Keita can be after a somewhat lengthened preseason that has lasted a year. Brewster is back and klopp really likes him, he will likely replace studge. Lallana may leave I guess. I'm also a little puzzled shaq has not got more game time recently, it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted away perhaps.

Can see us signing 3-4 players. Ming, Studge, Moreno will leave.
Maybe a CB if Lovren leaves.

We’re getting 20 mill for Ings this summer. Kent and Awoniji can get us another 20 mill.

The Spurs thing was pretty extreme.

We all know we have glaring holes in the squad so I'd be amazed if we don't address them in the summer.

As usual, the other teams will strengthen so we need to improve to try stay ahead.

We need back up in the FB positions. We need a player who can rotate into our front 3 without an appreciable loss of quality. We’re probably going to lose Milner who covers so many gaps in our squad. Another midfielder is probably needed too then. We need to go shopping whatever Klopp says.

Leeds dropped out of the automatic promotion spots. Would he go back there whilst they’re in the championship?
