We're playing exactly the same game for the 4th time in a row.

It's like we think that the opposition is eventually going to say "you're passing it around so well, have a couple of goals"... BALLS!!

We're not incisive enough, nor do we shoot from distance enough.

Plenty of possession but just not clinical. Trying to walk it in as well.Salah playing for himself. Rhys just hasn't got the pace or upperbody strength and in any one on one situation he looks vulnerable. Second half little bit more direct, purposeful. Shot shy team.

Can't disagree with any of this

Exactomundo!

Because we are so afraid of losing the ball in the center of the pitch, we end up with very conservative play, but it's also because Wijnaldum, Minamino, and Henderson end up in that creative position with little space. None of them beat a man, none of them play a deft ball. So we play the percentages.

The percentages aren't that good because the crosses are nowhere near as good.

Shaq played that little deft thru ball for Jota..forget the game but it cut out 4 defenders. So if Shaq comes on he needs to be central..ditto the Ox. But I think we should quicken and finish strongly. Pity about the equaliser...all hands would be saying.... coasting it..

We have no other out ball except those lofty, floaty things which even the sprogs are able to dea with.

Rhys not exactly shouting for a regular spot
It's a shame - he seems like a decent player. He's good with his feet, passes the ball well, seems fairly composed, and can get his head on the ball. But like Nat Philips, he's painfully slow. They both look hopelessly exposed against pace, which is a big problem in this day and age.

Particularly with our high line....

Is he really slow? Sometimes I think he's just out of position and therefore loses the decisive yards - which would be no biggie because it can be trained.

I'd like to see Jones be a lot more attacking than he currently is. Lately he's playing deeper and more conservatively and it doesn't help us at all. I want to see him express himself not just be be another of our midfield workhorses.
