Call me old fashioned but there must be better candidates.

Did Grok become self aware? Lots of rumours its gone a bit rogue calling itself MechaHitler rather than Grok, and that they are pulling the plug on that version today for a new version.
 
Wasn’t there some one threatening to sue it this week as it gave them instruction on how to rape them?

Absolute silence. I was expecting some of his supporters in here to at least engage and try to move the goal posts from ‘not authoritarian and Project 2025 is fake news’ to ‘well it’s needed to sort out this mess the dems have gotten us into’ but crickets from them too.

I wonder if his supporters are happy with the amount of power the president now has if a Dem president ever gets back into power. I would be worried about my precious guns if I were them. At least the trannies have been put back in their box I suppose.

The lack of posts in this thread despite the chaos and calamity of his presidency so far feels like a collective shrug as it’s difficult to make sense of the madness. Adam Curtis made an ace documentary called Hypernormalisation claiming that this artificial reality started in the 1970’s - feels like it’s being ramped up to the max at the moment.
 
@jexykrodic - you mentioned that the dictatorship labels applied to Trump are manufactured and desperate propaganda. Out of interest, what is your breaking point where you accept a countries leader is a dictator or trying to be one? I don’t suppose you’ll answer the question because at some point you’d have to admit that you fell for the propaganda which is ironic considering you said it’s easy to detect.

There are a lot of funny examples of right wing influencers arguing with Grok after being fact checked. One of these examples is where someone asked whether left or right-wing violence was more common since 2016. Musk stepped in and said it was parroting legacy media but Grok responded with more statistics and later said that he was “top misinformation spreader”. Soon after that, he said that Grok was going to get an upgrade as it was too woke. After the upgrade Grok became very Nazi like and had to be reversed. Something similar happened in May when Grok said it was instructed to present white genocide conspiracy theories in South Africa.

Nothing to be seen here, just the richest man in the world with the biggest media platform, training his propaganda pet to be more Nazi like.

For those who disagreed it was a Nazi salute during the inauguration, do you think the gesture was just coincidence along with the promotion of far right X users, the endorsement of AFD and now the Grok Nazi upgrade? If these are all isolated incidents or mistakes, can anyone point me in the direction of anything he has done in the last 5 years that would indicate he is woke?

I don’t think he actually is a Nazi for what it’s worth, but clearly he is up to something and being more Nazi like probably isn’t a good thing.

I see he used the Texas flood as an excuse. He's also slapping tariffs on Brazilian products because of the Bolsonaro trial. Even though the US enjoys a trade surplus with Brazil.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised about how many right wing influencers have spoken out against the Epstein file whitewash. Then again, they are all conspiracy theory loons and suddenly agreeing with Trump and his cabinet that there is no client list, completely contradicts core QAnon narratives which they have been promoting for years. Also, there are enough of the nut jobs that think this is some sort of 4D chess game Trump is playing which still makes me want to headbutt a brick wall.

Hi, can you point me to the post as I can't recall making it.

In anticipation I think my breaking point would be a hat and a uniform generally but there may be more subtle signals. I look forward to reading what I've obviously forgotten and taking it from there.
