Bite, Nibble, Munch and Chomp

So Suarez is saying there's a conspiracy against him, citing the English media as the main culprits. If people think he's not going to use this to his advantage to get out of England, then they are mental. It's been obvious from the word go what his intensions are. Put the club in a no win situation.

I wonder if John Hartson kicked people like that THREE FUCKING TIMES?

Ryan, you're a footballer ... Here's your options

1) Get bitten on your shoulder 3 times
2) Have Alex Witsel viciously break your leg (A player who you praised in the World Cup scouting thread I think)
3) Roy Kean viciously break your leg and end your career
4) Mauro Tassotti elbow you in your nose and eye socket
5) Take those two footted off the ground tackles from the young Gerrard
6) Take a flying kick in your gut from Maradona
7) Have Frank Riijkard spit in your face
8) Have Mamadou Sakho elbow you in your face

PROPORTION.

Yes, it's wrong.
Yes, he has a problem
Yes, he needs to be banned

The reason this is being blowing out of proportion is because no one does this on a football pitch bar Suarez. It's insane and unbecoming. That still doesn't make it the worst infraction we've seen on football pitches, and will continue to see ...

Any idea which ones? - It would be nice to read something that has a little perspective on this rather than the vapid, hyperbolic, predictable clap trap that seems to be spouting out of every talking head with a soap box to stand on. I can't believe John fucking Hartson has the temerity to wade in! As my Irish buddies would say - Jaysus!!!

Not sure, I'm afraid. It was mentioned but not specified on TalkSport, where that fat f'ck Brazil and today's village idiot sidekick Dominic Cork were once again arguing with their newspaper reviewer (didn't catch who it was), with them taking the rabblerousing line and the reviewer saying what Portly says in his last post above.

This needs to be emphasised. Since Suarez racially abused Evra and bit Ivanovic what happened?

Our commercial deals continue to rise and we were the most watched team in the Premiership.

These bites mean fuck all in the grand scheme of things. They should not affect a decision to keep or sell him withe way.

And everyone knows that in the Dvr era the only advertising people are more than likely to watch is all around live sport.

a) First part - good point
b) Second part - do you have a source for it?

I'm completely amazed people are jumping to the defence of Suarez here.

No one is, no more than you just defended John Hartson, you're typically taking things out of context, people get riled by the media because it lacks perspective. The Hartson comment a prime example, a thug taking the moral high ground over another thug.

Who's defended him?

Everyone trying to deflect the attention from him by talking about media conspiracies and pointing out a raft of other incidents is defending him.

In the same ludicrous way you tried to defend him before

And it's the same fucking crowd every time. One of whom is talking about it as if it's his duty to do so.

The reason why people get so touchy is because I remind you of this from time to time and it doesn't sit easy with you because you know deep down you're being totally ridiculous, hence the reactions to me.

If you were comfortable with your ludicrous position you'd be able to defend it without posting abuse at people for pointing out the obvious

Far from any "conspiracies", the point's been made that not all the media are picking up their pitchfork and jumping on this bandwagon. The only "other incident" that's been pointed out is the far worse one committed by a hypocrite who's had the brass neck to take the moral high ground now.

Next.

For the record I'm not defending him. He's obviously a bit of a tit. I just find the reaction by some to be hilariously over the top. He'll get banned for the rest of the WC probably. I just hope it doesn't affect LFC too much. Talk of his value going down is rubbish imo.

Seems like people are attacking the media and pundits for their hypocrisy more than defending Suarez.

Of course, what Suarez did was indefensible, which I think it's fair to say is something everyone agrees with.

That in itself does not automatically absolve said media and pundits from criticism.

Seems more like if there's any deflection going on, it's by the people defending the media and trying to deflect the attention back onto Suarez

No worries. I'll keep my eye out.

I'm glad Ryan you wouldn't answer my original post though ... Now I feel like Dreamy did when he posted all those lovely stats re: Bitey to Ross.

I don't' think they are .. they are just trying to put it into reasonable perspective, which the rabid British press, opposition supporters and politicians etc. don't / won't do because they have their own agendas (and not against Suarez personally but to sell newspapers / ingratiate themselves with voters or weaken an LFC that threatened to win the PL last season).

Hah! Even The Wiggles have done a song about Suarez.

Surely his price must go up now.
