ShareThe Times are reporting that Liverpool Director of Football Damien Comolli is looking to resurrect his interest in St Etienne holding midfield player Blaise Matuidi. Comolli worked with Matuidi in his previous position as Sporting Director at St Etienne and is keen to re-unite with the player at Anfield. According to the paper, the Reds are ready to move for the 23 year old French international but only after they have hopefully secured a certain striker signing in the next few days. Matuidi has been described as a combative defensive midfielder as well as a deep-lying playmaker.
