In fact one could argue it's unlikely to do so given Martinez' overall record. I don't think we're anywhere near being able to say that Martinez would have been a better choice - on the contrary, my guess would be that he'd have performed similarly to Rodgers if he'd been appointed, because FSG were fishing in the wrong pool right from the off.

I guess we'll never know if Martinez would have been a better choice. It's a matter of opinions, and ours seem to differ.

We could always sell Lovren to Martinez as Stones' replacement. Wouldn't cost him but half what he's going to get for Stones !
