For the most part he's done very well. We couldn't have got any better at the time and it's great watching him visibly improve this side week in, week out. We're certainly on the right path and it feels only a matter of time the silverware will follow.

There's concerns about his in-game management, although these are subsiding as our 'Plan A' becomes more and more effective. These doubts may resurface again should we manage to get European football next year and the players are unable to keep up the intensity Plan A demands. That's something to keep an eye on in the future.

His support of Moreno last year cost us at least 1 trophy, which he seems to have learned from a few weeks into this year. This arguably took too long to happen and is a source of minor annoyance.

Overall though we're in very good shape and I hope he has the funds available to strengthen this squad further.

Ian Ayre interview in the Grauniad:

"“I’ve worked with five managers at Liverpool now, and three or four at other clubs, and the reality is managers can make life difficult because they don’t want to be honest or own up to their own decisions, but there is none of that with Jürgen."

Hmmmmmmm....

Subtle, Ian. Subtle.

A breath of fresh air and we are so very lucky the stars aligned for us to get him. We really couldn't get a better manager.

Of most interest is who are the two nitwits who voted for him to be stoned in the poll and why? Anyone ballsy enough to own up in this lovefest?

I'm going to say Skully is one of those people.

The last part is particularly great, about being positive and about expectations and people saying you have to be as good as this ex-player, and that ex-player. Being patient and not saying "sell him" after a short spell, give players time to develop. It's great that he thinks he now has a good team and that there are players there to develop too.

Let's hope we don't have to revisit this thread for the wrong reasons.

I was aware when starting the thread that there was that risk. This thread could be the equivalent of the cringe-fest that is the Shanks and Paisley looking down on Rodgers image, but I'm happy to take the risk.

I didn't mean it like that.

Klopp to end up a cock up like Brodge ? I needn't worry one bit. But for our ever reliable fans turning on Klopp with their pitchforks calling for his head soon, that will indeed be a cringefest.

Even when Rodgers was being successful we all still new he was knob deep down. The poster, teeth, wife etc..
It's great to have a manager I genuinely like and even if it all goes tits up I am sure the majority of fans will still like him (as was the case at Dortmund).
