Based on Klopps presser we will see changes tomorrow,

Sounds like he had a plan but some players pulled up sore.

Said he also never entertained the idea of splitting the squad for WCC.

Had a funny dig PlayStation players :D

MANAGER Eddie Howe revealed defender Adam Smith would miss Cherries’ home clash with Liverpool tomorrow (3pm).

The full-back picked up an ankle problem during the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Tuesday and was seen leaving Selhurst Park in a medical protective boot.
Howe, who will also be without Joshua King (hamstring) and Steve Cook (wrist), remains unsure of the duration of Smith’s injury.
He said: “Adam Smith will miss out, he picked up an ankle injury. I don’t know how serious that is at the moment.
“Josh King will miss out. Steve Cook will miss out, he is seeing a specialist today.”

So who should be rested in this game? Sadio, Trent, Robbo? Longer rests for Mo and Bobby?

I think Trent and Sadio could be due a rest, but Lovren might also need it.

The thing with Sadio, as Klopp has said, is that he could probably play every game but we still need to manage his fitness.

Big game on Tuesday as well.

I wonder if Sadio missing those chances in the 2nd half is a sign of mental fatigue. If was not like him and up until then he's been unplayable all game.

Nah I think he got a little arrogant and carried away by the scoreline which he does have in his game, if we were 4-2 down both those chances would have been in the net, both chances he had time to execute them if he had just made the right judgment. He went for the early shot instead of coming a bit closer before shooting for the first miss and the second miss was pure arrogance as he seemed like he wanted to walk the ball into the net but instead got pushed off the ball. I think the scoreline got to him and he wanted to score in style both times, I don't mind this type of arrogance when we are 4-2 up, thankfully he's not always like that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I really don't think Sadio has an ounce of arrogance in him.

Maybe arrogance was the wrong word, I admit. But we've all been there, even in the park with your mates, when you know you could just score a simple unremarkable goal but instead you take too many touches (or not enough) because you got lost in a moment where you wanted that goal to look good. To me that's what happened to Sadio with those missed chances, he got caught up in the moment of how the goal would look rather than just putting it in the net, this mind state is obviously more likely when you are winning by 2 or more goals. Sadio The Artist.

I've given up hoping that City lose the games where they probably should have trouble - Chelsea, Leicester, etc... They almost always win them. It's the teams that they should crucify that hurt them.

So, maybe the scum take something off them tomorrow then..?

Looked to me like he had too much time and started to think, instead of letting his feet do the thinking and going on instincts.

It doesn't matter that John Major doesn't support Boris, Tommy Robinson does and that's the important thing

The thing about players needed a rest and all that jazz... That's just down to all the trillions of bits of data they collect.. distance run, HR variability, sprints made, muscle strength, etc etc
Like it's cool saying yh Sadio needs a rest but actually he might just be a machine and keep playing full tilt till the end of the season.

I think there are prob times when the manager things well we just need you to get through the next 90 but other times I'm sure the fitness team, docs physios stat teams etc play a huge part in saying player X needs a few days off.

The positive about the world club cup is klopp is clearly a fan of taking the players abroad and hopefully the Qatar trip will provide some much needed winter sun training while playing a few games out there.

That's probably why he didn't consider splitting the squads for WCC and CC "for one second." Yes, he could have left Elliott and co. to play against Villa, but probably he thinks a mid-season warm-weather training camp with the first team bookended by a couple of competitive games will be far more beneficial for their development. Ideally one or two of them will make a step to becoming first-team options there and then.

Liverpool: Alisson, Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Adrian, Mane, Shaqiri, Origi, Jones, Alexander-Arnold, Elliott.
