Which is technically true.

Can we just focus on the fact that we haven’t won there in the last 2 visits and leaked 6 goals against them, with more or less the same lineup ?

They’ve also got a Toney who’s been banging in goals lately.

What you on about ?

2021 and 2022. We let in 6 goals.

Same manager. Same league.
Err no, what are you on about? You stated we haven't won there since 1983. I said nothing about goals or losses. Now you work it out!

That's what you should have led with and not even mentioned 1983! And yes I said the same re. Toney, give him the chances we gave Burnley in the first half and we'll be chasing the game.

1983 was thrown in for extra effects. You know how we have been lately - we need a big slap to wake us up. Not that the boys read 6CM anyways.

Some of them are also jsut coming back from a flu. So yeah, we better stay alert or we will drop more points.

If by tweak you mean moving Jones to RB and bringing in Elliott .. more than a tweak no?
Mac didn't get any service from the back (as the most advanced if the three) and that may also be said of Jones - though that wasn't their only issues.
Endo though saw plenty of the ball and did nothing with it - plus he was waltzed past plenty, not so much in the 2nd but even then it still happened.

I wouldn't be prepared to chance another first half performance like Burnley. If we had that again Toney would bury us.
Tweak was bringing Mac back to play alongside Endo but the changed also helped yes….it usually helps to play with 11 men. The midfield trio was no worst than the front or back line, the big chance Burnley got first half was because their player breezed past Virgil. The equaliser came because we can’t organize properly at corners, other than the gift of a goal, we didn’t create a thing…that’s not just on the midfield. All round it was a poor first half.

You keep mentioning the “first half at Burnley” like it’s some one off, what about the others then? Would you be prepared to chance another first half at Luton? Or Wolves? Or Newcastle? Or Sheffield? Or City? Maybe it’s time to accept we’re not fast starters regardless?

Endo was only behind Harvey as our best player against Burnley, would be stupid to drop him.

You’re an insufferable fool aren’t you ?

I said it’s a potential banana skin. Not mission impossible.
Relax with the whole 1983 then pal.

Yes we’ve not won our last 2 there but it’s a bit pointless going back 40 years as if there’s more to it than meets the eye when 37 of those years we never met.

Another early AWAy kick-off, this is shocking that we're selected for early away kick-off. It twice the amount as the 2nd place team. I wonder how the FA explains it?

Is Bradley back... I didn't watch the match but I heard Endo did well and he provides the defensive cover.
So I'd stick Bradley at RB and keep everyone else the same. With Jones Endo and Mac in MF

They don't, because it's nothing to do with the FA.

Yes, Bradley rejoined the group at AXA today.

Who does the fixtures? 12:30 and away most of the time, it feels like an agenda
Anything to do with fixtures is the League, postponements, rearrangements etc. They have their own external contractor company who specialises in the fixture schedule every year before the list is printed, filtered & sent to each club.

They have contracts with broadcasting companies who tells them when the televised slots are (these haven't changed for about 9378 years) and then they go from there. The reason we're on 12:30 more than anyone else and generally televised more is because we generate the most $$$ for the broadcasters from a global perspective, that's it.

Endo wasn't in the Top 3 for me - as I said at the time, he had an awful first half and still was far from perfect in the second. Some people just wanted him to be good - he wasn't.
Mac didn't come back alongside Endo, he took Jones ' position at LCM. There absolutely wasn't any double pivot - why on earth would we want one against Burnley!

Harvey Kelleher and Endo were clearly the best 3 players on the day. Pressed well and forced the player into the mistake just before Harvey set up Diaz.....clipped in the ball to Jota who was dragged to ground and should've been awarded a pen, played the ball over the top to Nunez late on who should've made it 4-1. Won the most duels for us and completed 89% of his passes.

"Some people just wanted him to be good - he wasn't." ....bar a shaky start where no outfield player did well yes he was. I don't know why I now need to go and find stats/clips to back this up.....just watch the game without distractions. If you wanna say he wasn't in your top 3, that's fine you can make a case for Darwin being there, but to say he didn't have a good game is bollocks.

Why would we want one? Because first half wasn't working and there were too bigger gaps for Burnley to exploit (granted this doesn't help when you're playing with 10 men), we shored it up and looked much better regaining most of the control when Mac played closer to Endo. Believe it or not you still need tactics even against the lesser teams Froggy.

Forest have really quick forwards. They will try to hit us on the counter. I really want Gomez and Konate on the pitch.

Edit: Ok so apparently it's Brentford, doesn't matter, that inverted shite cam fuck off. Play Gomez.

You know Gomez is the one who inverts from FB when Trent isn’t on the pitch, don’t you?

ok great to see Bradley & Mo back.

Klopp won’t fuck around, both will start

Alisson

Bradley
Konate
Virgil
Robbo

Endo
Macca
Jones

Salah
Jota
Nunez

I think Tsimi will do the Luton midweek game

Bradley back in training today and should start this game. Alisson is also back.

Alisson
Bradley Konate Virgil Gomez
Macca Endo Jones
Jota Nunez Diaz

Robbo back for the Luton game but start Gomez at LB for this one.

That is probably our best set up at the minute.

Bradley provides the width on the right, Gomez inverts on the left to support Endo.

Mac A gets further up the pitch to press & create

Diaz can stay wide but come deep in the left while Jones presses high and drifts out wide.

Nunez can run around a bit up front and try to beat his woodwork challenge record.

Options from the bench could be Harvey to offer more width on the right with Mac A dropping into Endo’s position and Robbo being a more trad LB with potentially Gomez moving to RB.

Is Gakpo alright? This guy aint setting no records unless it’s the longest period in a match without touching the ball.

Well done. Now look at how many times they went past him, or where there's no stat because he wasn't anywhere near the ball for it to register. Look at Binny's passing chart - he hardly passed it forwards at all.

Your ratings were far far too high (8/10 for Endo when he had, like everyone else, an awful first half and was hardly earth shattering in the second).

I think most people summed it up well with saying the team looking tired. Maybe Endo was suffering from jetlag but I'd still prefer the Mac who has performed brilliantly, since returning from injury, at #6. And Elliott deserves to start.

Salah wont be starting after a month out with a muscle injury. 30 mins against Brentford and a start with 60 odd mins against Luton is my guess.

I wouldn't be so certain, Szobo started Chelsea after missing the previous 4 to a hamstring.

This would be my preference - as we need to ensure he's ready for the run in. But Klopp never rests or benches Salah... and I don't see that starting now. Maybe 60 in both is the most 'management' we'll see.

I'd love to see him as an impact sub though, that would be absolutely brutal.

He didnt take part in the match drills and games yesterday though, so he's not "full training yet". Doubt he'll start on Saturday.

Salah didnt participate in the match drills yesterday though. Which gives him maybe 1 or 2 full training sessions if he's back today. He wont start.
