Post Match Brighton (A) 3-1- Mon 19th May 20:00

I find the games after the league was won pointless, so not much need to get annoyed.

1 more game to go before the trophy lift.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I wouldn't mind an upgrade on Diaz.
Mitoma for instance seems to be a lot more effective.

I don't think that opinion is too unpopular. I think we have enough higher priorities this summer that we likely won't upgrade on Diaz but I wouldn't be in opposition if we did.

Salah was fucking ABYSMAL again today. He cost us the win. 1-3 or even 1-4 and it was over. If Nunez had missed that open goal from 5m out we'd never hear the end of it on here.
Yeah and I think he indirectly cost us the game too because the idiots around him kept trying to pass him the ball when there was a better option.

The commentators took pains to say that Salah should already have more assists because his teammates have let him down. Unbelievable.

Well, we've anchored our attack to Salah. I think it's a poor decision. He's just awful for the last third or more of every season now, and he's getting worse. That third is generally quite important, we won't necessarily be able to skate to a big win unchallenged next season.

Can we trust slot to manage his minutes when it seems clear to me that if Salah says he wants to play, he plays?

What else would you do? This is a great excuse to sit on the couch, playing on my phone for two hours.

Something that isn't aggravating.

Perhaps they're all trying really hard and it's just an unfortunate coincidence that we've come unstuck against some tough opponents immediately after winning the title but yeah, I don't know.

Salah has 55 goals and assists in 50 games this season.
55.

They are trying, but we are sending out poor teams again and again. That line up to begin this game doesn't make sense as anything but a test of various players. It isn't likely to produce a result.

Worse still, you keep Salah on the pitch in a game that is by virtue of our team, and the team we are playing, liable to cause overloads without his offering zero assistance.

How it went is about how it should have gone. Slot wants to check on some stuff, and by that I mean clean out the squad.

That game has the making of a backroom deal, we never even tried to win it after they went 3-2 up. Diaz had a clear sight of goal in penalty area and he chose to give a marked Nunez the ball. Brighton will get Europe and we may get 20M off from their official pricing of a player.

Frimpong!

Got to feel for Quansah though, nothing goes his way. I thought he had a pretty good game (and showed an amazing turn of pace) up until it was his foot that played them onside for the winner - and if he had concentrated on his man instead of putting his hand up and wrongly calling for offside he may have intercepted the cross.

Salah awful again hasn't scored or assist the last couple of games greedy as ever and tries stuff you can tell will never work.

I’m generally baffled some can’t understand why we rotate, rest players and test the fringe ones. Cryarseing because of fatigue. Cryarseing because of rest.

Fucking hell.

Hasn’t been our best player since the Man City game where I don’t think he was even our best player.
