Apparently Gomez has a virus & Klavan is recovering from illness. So given Matips injury, I'm not sure Klopp had much choice on the CBs. The only unforced change in defence is at LB, which many have been crying out for

I agree, I find it odd that Can is there ahead of Klavan.

I wonder if he'll be switching to 3 at the back or has Can on to give him more room to change formation without making more than one change.
