Fair enough, them two were bargains.

As for Martinez, im not so sure about him. Why did it take so long for him to find a formation that works for them - 3-5-2? they've had some brilliant results in the last few months and they did it by playing great football but does that really mean Martinez is a top manager?

Would hee capable of coping with the pressure of managing Liverpool? Great to give managers a chance at a bigger Club, but Martinez would be a really big gamble imo.
You're absolutely right but who out there is available and would excite you?

Klopp - Probably wants another go at the CL
Benitez - Enough has been said about him (though I wouldn't mind it)
Mourinho - No chance he's leaving.
Guardiola - Burned out, don't think he'll move on that quickly.

Rodgers - Same category as Martinez. But with Martinez players.

I'd like to see Rafa return personally but that's a very complicated and messy scenerio so unlikely to happen.

Like Fabio, i'd take Villa Boas, he'll have learnt from his nightmare at Chelsea and be stronger for it. He's still got a very impressive CV and i admired the way he had his Porto team playing. Obviously it's much tougher for that style of play to work in the Prem League but he plays an exciting brand of football which makes him an appealing choice.

Rodgers is a better manager in Martinez imo. However, i wouldn't go for Rodgers just yet. Maybe in a season or two, see how he progresses.

I just think that when villas boas isn't fighting with a core of the squad, he could be great.

Our cbs are mobile enough to play a high line. We could be an attacking masterclass.

But it's optimistic

He'd be under an immediate kind of pressure, even more than the others would though, simply cos of his very high profile failure with Chelsea so recently.

Either Bielsa (spelling) or Simeone (based on what I've seen in the Europa league this year) might have a sniff.

He would, but I still think he was only a failure at chelsea because of the resistance from the players. It'd be the perfect opportunity for him to try and prove he's not a 1 season wonder

Kenny is our manager.

Fuck yeah, & rightly so. He needs at least one more year, if not more, I'm talking all hypothetical & shit.

Im convinced the owners are giving him more control over signings & removing any obstructions to squad selection (doctor having carte Blanche to pull players etc) in order to give him no excuses, which means they're giving him more time.

Perfect Solution, Roy wins the Euros, comes back to finish the job, since we love former managers so much!

Its exactly what he said on Sky.

And hes right. Our season was 3 trophies.
We won one, almost won another and failed miserably in the third.
That is not bad.

If you are only looking at the league then it would be different. Our season as a whole has been not bad.

The problem with what you've done there is effectively simplify the three things we were competing for as if they were all the same: one good, one nearly good, one bad.

The Carling fucking Cup is a bag of complete balls, and shouldn't even be in the same stratosphere as the league, so don't imply that it is. Birmingham won the cunting thing before us, and what did it do for them?

Fuck the fucking Carling fucking Cup. It's pointless, and an utter waste of time even remarking upon.

We'll finish 8th.

After spending 100 million pounds. That's what this season is about.

I see it as giving him absolutely no excuses. You fuck it up from here and there's no one else to blame so you're out the door.

I've got my fingers crossed anyway.
