Caice-d'oh!

Chelsea have just triggered Tyler Adams' release clause.

Plus they made the bid for Lavia last night.

Maybe this is on?

So if we see Caicedo and Lavia at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, are they there for Chelsea or for us?

Never happening so long as there is a hole in my arse, pipe dream of a signing.

Moving swiftly along........neeeeeext

Chelsea's bid which was rejected was 80 million with Brighton holding out for 100 million.

We're going to break our transfer record for him?

Caicedo is a better and more mature player than Lavia right now, but I'm quite irritated at the idea that Caicedo prefers Chelsea to Liverpool.

Is he stupid or what? Come to Liverpool and play with Klopp, one of the best managers of his generation, or go to a plastic club who've sold about 20 players in the last 12 months and change managers every two years.

Our only hope is that the yank off between Henry and Boehly has stirred something in Johns loins not seen since Linda ate her first child.

Why is @Fabio not staring these threads?

that idea started when potter was there didn’t it? Hopefully it’s not so much the case now with his buddy Alexis here.

I agree, but in his defence he's been selling the idea of Chelsea to himself and his family for months now, I can't imagine he'll flip that on the basis of Liverpool making contact with Brighton, it's not that fickle after all. If we're serious about him I'm pretty sure Klopp and the negotiating team investing some time in talking to him about the project and club could change his mind very quickly, he won't do it on a whim, but if we are serious, I'm fairly certain we'll become his preferred choice.

We have agent Alexis on our side and Agents Millie & Adam on their side. We will close this deal.

We're not doing this. This is an embarrassment to try and force Chelsea to leave lavia alone, and we'll bid 49.85m which Southampton will surely refuse

In a shocking turn of events, it sounds like it was all a press stunt

What the fuck is this

If lavia isn't signed within 24 hours then the club's a fucking joke

Great so they finally figured that maybe we should get someone in a different age bracket with more experience who can come in and make a difference.

This just sounds like tit for tat nonsense to me. We all know Chelsea want Caicedo and we want Lavia. Sounds like one club sniffed around the other's player, just for nuisance value and to drive the other to overpay, and then the other did the same in retaliation. We might have been in cahoots with. Brighton to keep them sweet after taking Mac Alister for less than he's worth.
Not clear who went first but my money would be on us being the "tit".

Got to say I'm not a fan of these mind games, regardless of how it turns out.

Be really pissed off if I were the player.

We all know how reactionary Boehly is, and I bet their Lavia bid (also short of Sotons valuation) was after we had registered our interest in Caicedo.

I think Caicedo sadly has his heart set on Chelsea, but we'll get Lavia.
