Yep, we hugely overspent on Andy Carroll, and it's absurd that his transfer fee was within £10M of Aguero's, let alone the same.

Thanfully the under-priced talent of Suarez might actually make up for it.

I just wish we and the media could get on with the football and forget what amount we paid for Carroll. It was inflated and he was overpriced, but we sold Babel and Torres and got Suarez and Carroll in return. Thats great fantastic excellent ace piece of business.

Just cos we got good deals for Suarez and Torres doesn't mean I'm going to pretend I'm happy about spending £35m on Carroll. Rafa and Ged made plenty of brilliant deals but that never absolved them of criticism when the likes of Diouf and keane came along.
