Bayern is absolutely destroying AS Roma in Rome – 0:5 at half-time. Seems like Guardiola has finally coached some kind of extra-terrestrial football into his Bayern team – I can't even figure out what formation they are playing, certainly not anything textbook. Lahm as playmaker, Alaba seems to be in central defense, but runs into attack constantly. Benatia at RB?? Whatever they are doing, it's working.

If Alonso is playing for us now, we'd have been cruising the league already.

He could place those passes on a sixpence that Mario could just whack it in. Mario doesn't even have to run or move a muscle.

Xabi's that good.

I think Guardiola will eventually go down in history as the greatest coach of all time, he will probably end up with 5 or 6 CL titles the way hes going, hes already built one of the greatest club sides of all time and now hes working on his second incarnation. They will walk the Bundesliga again this season and I would make them favourites for the CL too.

He will eventually end up in England for a spell, I hope to fuck its with us but I can see City offering him an insane amount of money whenever he decides to leave Munich.

I don't know. I'm a big fan of Guardiola but more and more teams have learnt to play against his style in the last few years and it'll be interesting to see if he can get Bayern to dominate like his Barcelona team did.

In terms of managing in England, he's gone on record saying he'd like to manage Utd at some point, hasn't he? My guess is that he'll end up there.

Heard a stat last night that Guardiola has never lost a CL game away? Insane if true.

Only in the group stages, not the knockout phases:

Bayern lost 0 - 1 away to Real Madrid in last season's semis.
Barca 0 - 1 away to Chelsea in the 2011-2012 semis.
Barca 1 - 2 away to Arsenal in the Round of 16 in 2010-2011.
Barca lost 1 - 3 away to Inter in the 2009-2010 semis.

They actually lost 0 - 1 away to Wisla Krakow in the qualifying rounds for the 2009-2010 edition of the CL.
