Well when I compare the two previous years when we went for everything we only won one of the two biggest trophies once in three attempts.
I’m very comfortable with how we approached things with the squad we had.
Inter chasing the treble 4 weeks ago and everyone was talking about a history making season.

All the talk of we could have should have beaten PSG but failed because of the injuries/squad etc.
Reminder that there is discussion on Slot preferring a 'small' squad.

Teams are just not capable of keeping the intensity for the whole season and a small squad makes it harder to challenge in all fronts.

I do think the PL would benefit massively in the CL from a reduced number of teams from 20 to 18 or even 16.
History (and it's plethora of different circumstances / players etc.) can not predict the future. It's illogical to say 'because of this then this'.
Of course it can’t but it can give you a pretty good idea.
I think Slot prefers a squad with the right players rather than a «small» squad.
PSG vs Barca would've been more entertaining but PSG would've won all the same. Barca simply can't defend.
As for us, we weren't good enough to win the CL this year. We struggled for form in the last few months of the season.
Hopefully TAA will be watching us like Mbappe will have been watching PSG.

I think there is a difference between having asmall squad and having the right quality on bench. Unavailabilty of Bradley, Gomez and the required quality from Endo, Quansah, Jota and Nunez is a diff issue. The talent on PSG bench with youth, energy and skill was different. Hopefull we can replace that this summer.
In fairness PSG could have beaten us 5-0 at their place.

That penalty shoot out still shocks me, we have not lost one in ages, so I was very surprised how bad we were.
The PL benefit massively as it is earning about 104939x more than the next league.

Have to say it’s a brilliant segment – every pundit in top form and lots of sharp and informative points being made. Worth a watch.
7 years on and counting, Sadio Mane’s goal in the 55th minute to make it 1-1 is the last goal scored by a losing team in a CL final.
