Who fucking cares if we do or do not sign this fat jock?

Fuck me. A 25 year old who failed in Scotland and has spent his career trawling the lower leagues has a few decent months and ACTUALLY passes forward and we are excited about his possible 5m transfer. Its another fucking mediocre squad type of transfer.
He's the missing piece of the jigsaw !

He is Scottish!

We only win the League with a sweaty sock in the team.

Just make sure his contract stipulates:

'A' Must alway have a tash

'B' Mustn't be adverse to having a Perm (just incase)

He'd be an improvement on what we have, but is not worth the risk for more than 5m. If we can't get him I'm not bothered.

Yep this.

Charlie handed in a transfer request! Yay
It was rejected.

Blackpool reject Adam request

Blackpool have rejected a transfer request from midfielder Charlie Adam, who is a January target for Liverpool, Aston Villa and Birmingham.

Seasiders boss Ian Holloway has told Liverpool to "put up or shut up" over their pursuit of the Scotland international.

Holloway confirmed Adam had put in a transfer request on Monday but said there was no issue to discuss because Liverpool's offer of £4million does not meet his club's valuation.

"If I was the Liverpool manager, I would want to buy him because they have never replaced Xabi Alonso," said Holloway.

"But you have to come up with the right amount of money. I don't want to stand in his way, but they have to put up or shut up."

Holloway revealed chairman Karl Oyston had taken a call from the Reds' director of football strategy Damian Comolli on Sunday night, which merely left the picture even more confused.

"He ummed and aahed and apparently did not make much sense," said Holloway.

The Seasiders chief also confirmed he had given no thought to leaving Adam out of Tuesday night's high-profile encounter with Manchester United.

"Not a chance," he said.

"If I tried to stop that boy playing against Manchester United, he would probably kill me.

"Charlie loves this club and just because he puts a transfer request in doesn't change that."

I have a feeling a lot of us are going to agree with Holloway by February 1.

Holloway may value Adam at £10m and he would be right if he had a long contract at Bloomfield Road, but Liverpool are being EXTREMELY generous offering the Seasiders £5m when they could just wait six months and have him at Anfield for free…

Ha god.

I like him but suggesting he'd be a suitable replacement for xabi is a whole different thing, ian!

5 is fair value actually. neither here nor there...

Make that 18 months Roland (thats whats left on his contract) if it was last 6 months now, we could have got him to sign a pre contract for the summer

"As I rate him, I think they're mad not to buy him off us," Holloway told reporters on Monday. "I think he could replace Xabi Alonso, which they haven't done yet with the greatest of respect.

"Raul Meireles is a great player and is starting to play like he can but they haven't got that passer - Charlie's their man.

"I know if I was Liverpool manager I'd have him in my team by now - I'd have bought him.

"And I'd have come up with the right amount of money because I believe in him that much.

"All you hear about the circuit is 'oh I don't know about that for my first signing, does it look good enough?'

"If the player's good enough, then sign him - that's what they should do. They know now that we won't accept that offer, he's got this year and next year so either put up or shut up, it's as simple as that."

Blackpool have already rejected bids that he felt were well below the playmaker's value from Birmingham City and Aston Villa in the current transfer window and now after rejecting a latest bid from Liverpool, Holloway is waiting for an improved bid to come back from Anfield, and has admitted that if an offer is good enough for the club, then he won't stand in the player's way.

"I expect it because Liverpool are a massive club but until they come up with an offer that we're accepting or would accept then there's no story," he continued.

"He [Adam] can't dictate it, he's got too long a contract.

"It won't be accepted - four million quid is not acceptable to us.

"Have Liverpool come back with an improved offer? No, not at all.

"Damien Comolli rang my chairman last night, faffing about I don't know what, he didn't make any sense as my chairman described to me, so you either make an offer that is acceptable or you go away.

"I wouldn't stand in his way and I told you I wrote a list of teams down – Liverpool was one of them – but it's not my club, it's not my money.

"And if it's not handled correctly, my chairman will dig his heels in and I'll have an unhappy player on my hands and he won't care."

Holloway, who is keen to retain Adam as he looks to keep his side in the Premier League, says he has no qualms about the Scottish international wanting to move to a bigger club and prove himself on a bigger stage.

He added: "He's an ambitious land and he loves this club, you can tell that by the way he scored his goal on Saturday and he gave it a bit of that to the shirt, he's never going to change.

"If I was him I'd want to play for Liverpool as well. I was never good enough. Played against them once I think, but they never actually wanted me.

"I think he'd play brilliantly for them but I obviously rate him higher than anyone else."

If the player is to leave Bloomfield Road, it will therefore have to be for a fee appropriate to the newly promoted side.

Holloway concluded: "I wouldn't sell my house to someone who wants my house but doesn't offer me the right amount of money."

Ten times what you bought a player for who has 18 months left seems reasonable to me. I'm not Ian Holloway of course. Thankfully

Just watched the latest press conference with Holloway. I really feel sorry for him.
It feels as if we're bullying them. Stealing their best player, I'd be livid if I was Holloway.
In the press conference he actually looked defeated.

Seem like he knows he's a goner.
Fucking Arsenal sign everyone.
i bet he'll be fucking shit if we sign him.
Course he will. He's this seasons Seth Johnson, James Morrison, Giles Barnes, Richard Chaplow.

AND CAN FUCK OFF!

I care about Suarez. If we sign him, Charlie Adam will look like a good signing too. But without signing him. Charlie Adam looks like a dud signing.

And shouldn't his name be Adams?
Maybe thats the big thing for these new owners. Put in blag bids for Saurez, Young etc Everton style then say the clubs were unreasonable and sign Adam and Downing.

8)

Charlie Adam would be an ace signing for us, there I said it.

Have seen him a few times, and he does have a ridic good passing ability. Not sure if he'd consistently start for us at the beginning, but as a squad member, it should be a no-brainer for £6m odd.
